We stayed only one night to avoid a long ride home after seeing a show at Penns Peak. The hotel was OK and I do mean just OK. The check in staff was very disorganized, kept us waiting because they took a phone call in the midst of checking us in and it took both desk people to answer the questions the caller had and then made us wait again because they didn’t know if our room was clean yet. Next, she tried to give me a room with 2 queens when I reserved and already paid for a room with a king bed. She said “you can have it for the same price “. Did she think she was upgrading me???
The room itself was nice, clean with a nice bed and linens however, the iron didn’t work and the ironing board was stained and dirty looking. The facility itself needs much work. Entrances to building are dirty, neglected and in disrepair. Hot tub was out of order. Security doors stating a room key was needed for access were left unlocked. The building and grounds need serious work. Next time I’ll take the Holiday Inn across the street.

Carpeting was worn and dirty. Security door on the west end of floor three lacked any kind of security to prevent entry. Room was nice size with a king bed and the window heating/cooling system worked fine. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows great .Walls were dirty, furniture chipped and the room was just generally not clean. Lots of plugs for electrical devices. Breakfast now confined to prepackaged buns and muffins. Fresh brewed coffee available. Juice machine out of service.

After enjoying our last day of vacation, we headed for home, selecting this hotel as a good stopping point for the night. We rolled in just before 11pm. Check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable enough for our overnight stay. The hotel could use some sprucing up but still was clean. We did grab coffee, apple juice, and yogurt from the breakfast bar before we hit the road before 8am.

We ended up staying at the Comfort Inn because the other hotel we booked had some serious cleanliness issues. Kelli welcomed us on Thanksgiving Eve with a warm smile and a kind heart. The next day Barbara made sure we had clean sheets as per my request. Judy made sure we had clean towels during our stay as well. Despite being off for the holiday Kathy the hotel manager checked in with her staff as I heard their conversations with her a couple of times while at the front desk. It was touching to see the staff sit down for a small Thanksgiving meal together. Several times during our stay we witnessed them working seamlessly as a team to ensure the guests had what they needed and that the hotel ran smoothly. Our rooms as well as the breakfast presentation each morning were clean and professional.

The other reviews about maintenance are spot on. Many walls need paint, the elevators both need some maintenance and there's a few spots on the floor that could use attention.

I would encourage the owners to fix the cosmetic defects so that the property shines as brightly as the staff does. I know the pandemic has caused a hardship on business owners but the staff and location make this property a gem. It's worth the investment.

Being in the industry it was nice to witness a group of people focused on making sure the guest experience was what it should be. Thank you for saving our holiday Comfort Inn. I've stayed at many high end properties and not felt as welcomed or cared for as I did here. We will be back.

We have stayed here since 2016. The condition of the hotel has really gone downhill.

The pool was horrible! Literally tufts/clumps of black hair at the bottom with dirt & leaves. Too grossed out to even put a foot in.
The hot tub was lined with caution tape & cement around the pool was all cracked. Do NOT believe the pictures on their website are accurate. See mine.

The smoke detector was found on the safe with wires hanging from where it should have been mounted. Pretty dangerous!
Bathrooms need updating. The caulk around the tub is thick and green.

The hallways reek of cheap marijuana. We held our breath on the way to the room.

It may be difficult to keep up with maintenance items with the pandemic but there is no excuse for rude staff.

Khadijah at the front desk barely looked up or took the time to speak to us. No hello just “ID & credit card”. Then passed me a paper & pen with no explanation of what I was to sign or what it was for.
I asked for the 5th or 6th floor because the rooms tend to be less noisy. She said “they are already assigned & couldn’t do anything about it “. Claiming they were fully booked. There were only a few cars in the parking lot, so I did check her claim out online, the site showed several rooms available, she just lied to us.

It’s sad how customer service doesn’t seem to exist anymore. The staff had always been very nice and friendly here. I was very disappointed with this experience.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Comfort Inn ‘s and this by far is at the bottom in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The bathroom looked like it may not have been cleaned very well over time. There was mold around where the tub meets the wall surround. The hall smelled musty as well.

I know they could be having staffing shortages as the house keeper was still cleaning rooms when we arrived at 5pm.

Decor looks dated compared to other choice hotels I’ve visited.

Wow, when I read the positive reviews of this place my first thought was that these folks must have stayed in a different place! The hotel is old and decrepit, not to mention unsafe. The doors from the parking area and from the attached bar say that a room key is required for entry, but they are left unlocked. Everything in the hotel from the carpets to the curtains is dingy, stained , ripped, and dirty. The filthy elevator doesn’t function. The halls are filled with noisy drunks from the sketchy bar that adjoins the hotel. I could go on, but you get the Idea. There aren’t many options in the area, but this has to be one of the worst.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner. The room was not cleaned and towels were not replaced.

We asked for more towels and took them to the pool -we were not told we needed specific towels for the pool when we signed up for the pool.

When we tried to obtain new towels, as ours were wet from the pool, we were told that we had already requested towel and COULD NOT get more.
We were given pool towels (smaller, thinner , hard)
and were told to USE POOL TOWEL as bath towels .
They were adamant about the towels and refused to give new ones.

The person at the front desk who were providing service and provided such terrible customer service were : Kelli and Barbara.

I hope Comfort Inn takes this feedback into account and begin to provide better customer service training to their employees.

I got here with high hopes and got let down again and again. We had to move rooms TWICE because of BLACK MOLD on the ceilings and rusty bathtubs. In addition, the pictures of this hotel are very misleading. The fitness room is nothing more than two treadmills and a bike. The business center is a desk with a computer on it. The pool was the only thing that was normal. Breakfast is okay too but you have to make your own waffles and it seemed like there was more people than available food. There was also no arcade. It is in a convenient location and the staff were helpful so that is the only reason I give it 2 stars.

Arrived 7p.m. Jan. 2nd. Didn’t make reservations because on our way home from vaca and didn’t know how long we would want to keep going. The guy, younger kid really, huffed because we didn’t have reservations, you would think that isn’t his job and we interrupted him. On the way to the room, the place smelled, rugs were filthy and worn and it was all around dirty. Got to the room, rugs are disgusting and it still smelled. Toilet was missing bolt and could be turned, no way that would flush properly, we didn’t open it and were not sure why would happen if we tried to flush it. We went back to the front desk asked for a refund, no problem there, so that was the only good thing about this place. Went to Holiday in express, they were polite and the place was clean and the toilet didn’t spin around like a top. Skip this place and go there instead.
