The check in at 1 am was easy, friendly and prompt. The front desk staff was courteous and knowledgable. The hotel was right in between another Marriott and a commercial distribution centre. One side of the hotel's room could possibly be more quiet than the other side as the side facing the other business had a lot of trucks passing by (but when we were walking around the property late at night and early in the morning for our dog, we did not notice a big difference). We stayed at the side where facing the other Marriott, our comment was it was a quite neighbourhood. Wal-mart and gas station is within 2 minutes drive. A plaza is within walking distance with several restaurants as well and a few big name retailers. The hotel was right off the highway where it was easy access. Location is also about 15 mins drive right to the heart of downtown York where a lot more unique restaurants are located. You can choose to access via highway or local traffic. Overall, the hotel was well maintained, the room was clean with all amenities promised. The kitchen was fully functional. We felt safe walking our dog in the night time around the property as well. Complimentary breakfast was good; it lacked variety but the quality and quantity were both adequate. There was also small kitchen appliances available for you to borrow and a BBQ outside that you can use to cook your own meal! Work station at lobby allows you to access internet and print documents. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to friends and family.

Overall the hotel was nice and seemed pretty clean. We stayed in a room with a King bed and sleeper sofa. The evening staff was really nice and helpful. The room is a lot smaller than some of the TownPlace Suites that I have stayed in. There isn’t much room when the sleeper sofa is open but it doesn’t make it a deal breaker. It was okay for a 2 day stay. I did have a gripe. The sheet that we were provided for the sleeper sofa had blood on it. Because we arrived so late in the evening, we didn’t see this until the morning. That morning I took the sheet to the front desk and told the lady working there. She just took the sheet and gave me another one. There was no apology for the inconvenience or I am sorry that your son went slept with a sheet that had blood on it. She didn’t acknowledge the situation at all. That sheet should have been taken out of rotation. Luckily I carry Lysol with me and spray any hotel room that I stay in but this was disturbing. Also, there was hair in the sink that did not belong to any of my family. I know hotels are short staffed but you have to pay attention to detail especially in this environment.
Once we got that situation taken care of we were fine. I just wish the morning staff member offered better customer service with our issue.
Some things to know...during Covid, if your stay is less than 7 days then you must request maid service. If you need extra towels, sheets, etc call the front desk and they will have it ready by the time you get there. Trash should be placed outside of your door for pick up.

As longtime Marriott members, we were dismayed to find a broken and absent toilet paper holder, a non-working light next to the bed, and someone else's used sock under the couch. Our calls to the front desk went unanswered, when we called to ask if there was anyone available to fix the light. The room was not as clean as other Marriott rooms we have used post covid. Advice? Spiff it up or hang it up!

This Marriott stay was not what we expected. We came back to the room late in the afternoon to find that the room wasn't cleaned. I called downstairs and was told that unless I made a special request, rooms were cleaned every 8 (or maybe 7) days. The refrigerator clicked all night. The hall smelled musty. Not sure if people live here--saw someone bringing up boxes of food. Is that why rooms are cleaned once a week? Won't be using a Townplace Suite again!

This was before covid a Marriott quality place to stay, now not near that. Picking up my room keys the person at the desk was less then friendly, no hello, no smile, no recognition of my ambassador status. Walking to the room housekeeping staff again no smiles, no hello, just a look like why are you here. Entering the room, the kitchen floor was sticky, the carpet stained, the thermostat set at 60, a used female sanitary napkin in the bathroom; in short the room was disgusting. One of the outside doors with a sign saying door locked for your safety didn’t work and was permanently unlocked, so much for safety. Young adults staying on our floor were outside smoking dope. Someone from Marriott corporate should make an unannounced visit here to shake management up because I felt like I was staying at a Days Inn rather then a Marriott.

Worst stay ever, this hotel is located next door to a truck depot. All night I heard the trucks loading and unloading, the beep beep was loud. This went on from a smoke free enviroment. 12-5 am. I called down to the front desk to complain about the noise around 4 AM, the reply I got was we are next to a truck depot. I had to work early the next morning, after being up all night. The room itself needed a good wipe down before unpacking. I have stayed at other Marriott locations and had a wonderful stay. This location is more like an extended stay, the kitchenware is worn and mismatched. The sitting, grill area is in the front where you check in, I would think this would be better positioned on the side or the back of the building.Worst stay ever, this hotel is located next door to a truck depot. Stayed for a weekend for a youth soccer tournament. Staff are incredibly friendly but the place is dirty. I have never had such an experience in a Marriott. I literally had to go down on day two and demand that they come vacum the living area -- where I had found some prior guests' snacks all on the floor. Instead they "lent" me the vacuum to do it myself. OK. Fine. It got done. But no, no, never again. The furniture was tattered from pet paws gone awry. I think one issue is that they are "pet friendly" but they lack the housekeeping staff to clean up after, and lack the funds to replace pet-attacked furnishings. The sofabed had a giant hole in one of the under cushions where something had just gone to town. Sorry, I would avoid this hotel. They seem to be short on housekeepers and it is showing. From now on when I see that a hotel is "Pet Friendly" I will read between the lines and choose another property. Also, no free breakfast or anything like that was offered while we were there due to COVID, fyi.

Our party of 5 stayed in the 2 bedroom suite over a weekend and the service was impeccable. I called ahead the morning of our check in to see if we could get an early check in and the staff at the front desk and housekeeping went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The front desk staff member, Unique, was absolutely amazing, friendly and professional! Our room was great, clean and comfortable! Would highly recommend staying here!

As a gold member of Marriott, the corporation should be ashamed of this hotel. Booked and paid two weeks in advance and given a "handicapped room" on the second floor. We have stayed here lots of times and our file says high floor. In most Marriot Hotels, we are treated differently and upgraded. Here they are rude and we are downgraded. We have stayed here at least 20 times and there are often problems but this was a doozy. Not staying here again and switching to Hilton/Hyatt as a result of this hotel. We stayed here before this time and had problems and called Marriott corporate too without success they were booked so I guess the tournment folks got the good rooms and the Marriott "loyalists" got the dirty "handicapped" room on the second floor. Hotel is not cheap either. Pick somewhere else as we are turned off by this experience and will be heading to the Hilton or Hyatt or anywhere else next month when we come to York again.

Here for the weekend to attend a wedding. Everything about our two bedroom suite was perfect, but for one issue. The room reeked all weekend of weed. Skunky pot stink coming through the vents. No escaping it. Even with the sputtering bathroom vent going at all times. Another guest complained they had the same issue and was given a brush off. We had a non-smoking room for a reason. At the cost of our stay, which was more than we wanted to pay, but the hotel was recommended by the bride for the family, it was a great disappointment. I expect more from Marriott. This trip truly stunk.

DO NOT STAY HERE>>>PERIOD! Half of our room is without power. I pphoned for help at 5:10 P.M. on October 21st. I was told to open electrical panel......I told them it was their job , not mine. I could pull a law suit! This group that works here are lowest of low. I sit here 25 minutes later, no help. In general, this hotel is a poor excuse. try the new TRU Hilton. I would head to that location at the present time, but it is too late. Also, I expect some real compensation for this.
