Detailed Reviews
Customer Service was very professional. The front desk definitely took COVID seriously with disinfecting of pens and surfaces. Face masks worn at all times. Upon leaving, passed a very lovely group of housekeepers. Wished us well and thanked us for our stay. Sadly, one wore a facemask under her nose and the other didn't have one at all...
The room itself was outdated and starting to break down. Bathroom floor tiles loose, chipped and uneven when walked on. Mold in the bathroom shower. Outdated shower head. Took awhile for warm water. Old furnishings and carpet could have used another vacuuming etc.
The bed was comfortable and pillows were great. The space was plenty (we had a king room) Heating system worked well.
I didn't feel as if it were as clean as other hotels I had stayed in during COVID. I'm a bit of a traveler so I knew to bring my own disinfectant wipes for door knobs, faucet handles, TV remote and chairs etc. This made me feel better.
Breakfast in the morning was grab and go prepacked. This was mostly centered around kids with a bottle water, pastry, applesauce and a granola bar (chocolate chip).
The hotel is a hub for any sort of sporting event at the York expo center, so prepare for it to be loud depending on the clientele. I could hear every conversation and running up and down of the hallways. I have a child, so I'm used to it, but for a traveler without young ones, beware. It's noisy and we had a corner room.
The price was right for what was offered. Again, the folks that work there were lovely which can make lemonade out of lemons.

Matt and his staff are wonderful, accommodating and exceptional at providing great customer service. They make you feel at home and do their best to make sure all needs are met. From housekeeping to maintenance they make themselves available to make sure the stay there is uneventful and pleasant. A home away from home.

The good:
Cleanliness, furniture was in good shape & the front desk staff was pleasant.
Many eating places (mostly chain) close by.
Located right off the main drag Rt. 30.
The bad:
We were on the first floor (per our request). The noise above us from 5:30-7:00 AM sounded like a heard of elephants walking around.
The breakfast was typical hotel fair but with fewer choices and the silverware so cheap you could not cut the waffle with the knife. I rate the breakfast below average.

Having stayed at Wingate by Wyndham properties in other locations, we booked this hotel because of its listed amenities. They listed a pool and free HOT breakfast. Sadly, at check-in, we were informed that the pool wasn't open and breakfast would consist of bagged items. When we said that this information should have been on the website and included in the numerous email confirmations received, our complaint was brushed aside with the equivalent of "it is what it is."
The room itself was fine, as was the beds. But the rug was extremely soiled. Following an exercise session, my feet had become sweaty and I walked into the bathroom barefoot. I got into the tub with and black dirt came off of my feet. Having had this problem previously at another low rated hotel, we tested to see if the rug was actually dirty by moistening a wash cloth and dabbing it on the rug. If came up soiled.
Breakfast the next day consisted of one small wrapped bar and one small wrapped pastry, a small tub of fruit or applesauce, and a bottle of water. Fortunately, juice and coffee was available in the lobby but this was a sorry excuse for a breakfast.
Finally, as covid-19 restrictions are easing, especially for those already vaccinated, many places are updating their signage prior to entering. That had not been done here as the only sign present said masks were required in common areas. However, staff and some other guests were going maskless.
There were plenty of other properties available in the York area and many of them priced well below what we paid for an overnight at the Wingate by Wyndham. I would not recommend this establishment and suggest travelers explore other options.

I stayed at this location because I was there for a convention and that’s where we were booked. I was only there overnight. Upon checking out I left my AirPods, that were in a navy blue case in the bed in room 321. When I got home I realized that I had left them there, because I tracked them and I called the hotel. I was told they weren’t found. The cleaning person knocked on my door right before I left to ask me was I leaving, so I know they cleaned the room right after I left. It is possible that they were wrapped in the sheets but I wasn’t reassured that they even looked for them. A few days later they were not found on my app so that means that someone found them and has them. They are not honest. I would never stay here ever again.

What a disaster! Absolutely nothing like the website! Dirty, tile cracking up in the bathroom. No towels and if you did get one it was stained and falling apart! Furniture in the room is old and stained! Also, on the third floor someone was frying something in there room. Unbelievable! Scary place. Also, they gave you brown paper bag on the counter with a muffin, fruit cup and a bottle of water for breakfast. Front desk people were rude! Do not stay there!!!

Never again!!! Made reservations here based on them having an indoor pool. Now told pool is closed! Room? Gross, filthy spots on furniture most likely someone's body fluid. Will be contacting the local Board of Health on this one. Offered to change our room to one with one bed and a portable cot. WTF??? Cancelled room for tomorrow night. One night here is more than enough. And this is supposed to be Wyndham's better hotel line? ðŸ˜
UPDATE - I spoke with the manager in the morning. She said the stains were from when they sprayed Febrese on the furniture and it stained the fabric 🤨🙄 - She apologized and did not charge us for the room. Just wish I could post photos here for you to decide for yourself if it is body fluid or Febrese.

The photos on this property's website makes it look shiny, bright, and new. That's why I chose them. They looked so much better than everyone else that my decision felt easy, especially since they said they had a swimming pool! In reality the property's rundown and is still running further downhill. I'm disappointed most about the lack of swimming because you don't advertise that when you know you're not going to be delivering. The entire transaction made me feel like I'd been rooked by a bait and switch operation.

The housekeeping never wore mask even when I passed them in the hotel. COVID was not taken seriously here. My first night there I went to lay in my bed and I had piece of broken glass in my bed. I ended up cutting my finger. They took my sheets off my bed and then I had to make the bed myself.

This was a fantastic stay-- far less than a Hilton and better than some Hiltons that I've stayed in recently. The room was large and very clean, and I could hear a few footsteps from above but otherwise sleep quality was high. Breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate, and it was well-stocked with black tea. Staff is friendly and attentive. Traffic can be a little bad in the area around rush hour but it's in a good location with fast food and grocery stores across the street, and a CVS very close. Looking forward to my next stay.

We did not have a pet while we stayed here, so I do not know if they are pest friendly. Sorry I can't help you.
Nor do I know if it has guest laundry facilities as we only stayed two nights.
As per thier website no pets.
No most Wingate don't have Laundry Facilities with in the brand.
