This is wonderful place extremely clean and you can tell it is very well managed would definitely stay here again. The room was large and you can see the water from the balcony. Nice selection of items for breakfast. The owner was very nice highly recommend
We were very pleased with our stay at Rhea's by the Sea! Loved the location so close to the Cliff Walk and across the street from a great restaurant. Room was immaculate and the fastest check-in I ever had. Good selection for breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!
My family and I were in town for a wedding and needed a nice place to stay that was close to the venue and we lucked out with Rhea's. The location was a five minute drive from where we needed to be and we would have walked if the weather was just a bit warmer. The room we stayed in was on the third floor and couldn't be nicer. Clean, large bathroom, comfortable bed, dresser, TV, Mini-fridge, just exactly what we needed. We had a minor inconvenience with the bed but it was taken care of while we were out and did not disrupt our stay in the least. They have a 24hr snack area where you can find a well stocked pantry for your enjoyment. Turned out to be just what we needed when we got back from the reception since the venue we were at was somewhat stingy with their portions. So a couple of us toasted some bagels, added toppings, and was a perfect topper for the evening. This is a great place to stay and will be our first choice if we take another trip back up.…
We travel quite a bit at different hotels and rheas by the sea is by far the best stay ever!! Tony and the staff are excellent, friendly! helpful and when you need them, they are prompt in their response. As far as the rooms, the beds and pillows are comfortable, blankets smell fresh and clean. the room is spotless! when you go into a bathroom sometimes the shower curtain has a sour smell, this was squeaky clean in every possible way. the continental breakfast that they put out, is by far the best I’ve ever had in any place that I’ve visited even the fancy hotels. Tony puts out everything you can think of for breakfast. It is there for you day and night you can help yourself at any time. please do not hesitate to come stay here it is the best experience we’ve had ever. It’s minutes from all the restaurants, the cliff walk and great shops , anything you need it’s right at your disposal. Make this your next stay you will not regret it. If I could give 10 stars! I would Diane M…
After 4 nights in a "rough" hotel (not in RI) and a long drive through a terrible storm, we were tired and fearful of what our next stay would be like. Check In was simple. The manager greeted us with a smile, as if he had been waiting for us. We were directed to a room that was immaculate, well furnished and had easy access. Everything about the room was very nice. The location was ideal with several nice eateries close by and just a very short walk to the beach and short drives to everything else. The breakfast bar was very well stocked. Would recommend this place all day long!!
A lot of us, me included, have fallen out of the habit of staying in independent hotels that aren't cutesy tiny two-guest B n Bs. Rhea's is a classic small hotel in the model that you'll find in the UK or Europe - a few rooms each on a few floors, with continental breakfast. No bar or restaurant, no "fitness center," but a perfect location, thoughtful touches, and everything you need for a great stay. The place was spotlessly clean. I appreciated the daily housekeeping service (especially just having stayed in a major upmarket chain that neglected this entirely). The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was also huge and our room had a big jacuzzi tub. There was a little balcony with tables off a sliding patio door (we were on the second floor). As others have commented, a great thing about the breakfast items was that they were available all day. No rushing downstairs before breakfast closed, and you could grab a granola bar or bagel at other times if you were peckish. Five minute walk to the Easton beach, with its great view of the Cliff Walk mansions. Several restaurants, including Flo's Clam Shack, in the immediate, walkable area. Would definitely stay there again!…
Just a one night stay, but the room (and bathroom) were clean, bed was comfortable and location was quiet. 5 minute walk to the beach. Would definitely stay there again if the need arose. While you're there, you need to hit up Flo's Clam Shack!
We were pleasantly surprised by this cute place. The room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, and the proprietors couldn't have been nicer, going out of their way to fix a problem of my own making. This will be our go-to spot when we return to the Newport area.
We had a great stay at Rhea’s. Tony went out of his way to make our stay even better than expected. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast offerings are extensive. It’s nice to be out of the fray of Newport yet so close by.
Fantastic dinner at Rhea’s for our anniversary! While we are staying down the street, we have passed by several times before actually calling ahead for a reservation. They were able to accommodate us with limited notice. The stuffed mushrooms and rib apps were a great start and we transitioned to stuffed shrimp and surf and turf for dinner. Baked potatoes and corn for sides. Simple but perfect. They brought out an amazing cookie sandwich for an anniversary surprise. Barbara was our professional but fun server that really was the icing on our cookie sandwich! Can’t wait to return.
