We've stayed at Fisherman's off and on for the past decade. Started in a travel trailer and have since stayed in a 30' and 37' motor home. Areas 1 and 2 have seen some renovation the past few years but Area 4 has not. For the price, it's worth dealing with the reservation system. The bathrooms need to be torn...

The worst part of this campground is the check-in. The girl was very direct and rather unfriendly. She said her nickname was 'the hammer', because she went by the letter of the law on everything. Just make sure you have your license, vehicle registration and proof of rabies shots if you have dogs. There is no leeway should you lack...

My Husband and I have lived in RI all our lives and we have camped at Fishermen's many times because its so close to the beaches. The campground sites are just okay, we have had better elsewhere. It's the lack of upkeep that leaves a lot to be desired. All the bathrooms need to be gutted and renovated and we...

Landed here last weekend for one night before heading out on the block island ferry the next day....beat the local hotel rates. We got the last site, even booking a month in advance. We were originally site 139 which is right on top of the restrooms. Luckily someone checked out early from site 135 so we were able to put...

The 2 woman in the office, the younger and older women are incredibly rude to guests. You feel like your entering a prison instead of a vacation place. It is a state park so the rules are strict which is fine, but to first get their and have to deal with those 2 is horrible.

I have now been there 2 times. Overall the campground is in a great location, the sites are nicely laid out, and most have full hookups for you camper. Area's 1 and 2 have full hookups and are mostly pull through. Area 3 has water and electric but no sewer hookup. I have only drove through area 4, which is...

We have camped here at least 10-15 times over the last few years. It is somewhat difficult to book time here (through ReserveAmerica.com) because it is so popular. The one real issue I have is with some of the office help. They are down right rude. We were checking in last Thursday and arrived at about 12:45. In the past...

Fishermen's Memorial State Park and Campground is located near some wonderful beaches. It is a lovely campground, well kept grounds and bathrooms with fairly large sites. We have camped here in April, July and October over the years and enjoyed the campground in all seasons except winter! Many wonderful restaurants in the area and great fish markets with fresh catch...

This place has a great location, it's close to the beaches so you can get there early. However, the camp sites are way too close together. I do not recommend this place if you are looking to sleep past 7am without kids running around your tent. I could hear the person 1 site over snoring. It seems like it more...

Loved visiting Rhode Island and all there is to do around Narragansett (Block Island, Newport). The campsite is clean, the bathrooms are just OK at best. Most tent sites are extremely small, some have tent areas just feet from the road. There isn't much to do at the campground itself; but the price was right though.
