As soon as we arrived we felt welcomed by Dave and Stephanie. The home is very beautiful and well cared for. They have put so much into the updating and additions. Our favorite part was the beautiful side porch with ceiling fans and beautiful wicker furniture. Also the dining room breakfast time was like visiting a family friend. Loved getting...

Just came back from our third trip to this B&B. Stephanie and David are the best hosts! Love their new porch they just added. Stephanie serves the best breakfast with a great assortment of food. You won't leave hungry. Good restaurants right in town but they are also close to Narragansett, Newport and Point Judith. Can't wait to return on...

My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay, the base for a busy weekend of wedding-related events. The inn is conveniently located on Main Street in Wakefield, yet a quiet and comfortable retreat when we needed to recharge. The breakfasts, enjoyed on the porch, were outstanding and we were well-nourished for the day ahead (a delicious frittata one day,...

Our family has visited the shore in Matunuck, RI for over 35 years. The two of us wanted to revisit the area and I found the Sugar Loaf Hill B&B in Wakefield online. Only one of the four rooms was available, the Cozy Suite. It is a little more expensive than the others but worth the difference. It is very...

We wanted to visit Block Island at the last minute, but alas there were no rooms on the island or for that matter anywhere in Rhode Island. We got lucky when Stephanie and Dave had a cancellation. Sugar Loaf was a perfect location to explore Narragansett, get to the ferry to Block Island and explore the coast and beaches of...

We have stayed here several times now in five years and always leave feeling satisfied. The hosts Stephanie and Dave are friendly and very welcoming. Feels like home now to stay there. I look forward to the wonderful breakfast table meeting the other guests and chatting for a long time. Would not give it a second thought. Place is clean...

Stayed here for my son's wedding, along with his surrogate grandparents. Stephanie and David are super-nice, extraordinarily gracious hosts. Yesterday our friends needed to catch an early morning ferry to Block Island and Stephanie, without being asked, prepared them a wonderful hot breakfast an hour before the announced breakfast time. Stephanie and David joined us for breakfast and were exceptionally...

Rooms could use some renovations (stained rugs, paint needs to be refreshed). Used bars of soap left out from last guests. Some lights not working."Cash only policy" made things a bit more challenging (CC and checks welcome) Lovely breakfast in the morning by friendly inn keepers.

My husband and I stayed overnight here since I was attending a workshop at All That Matters nearby in town. This B & B is conveniently located less than ten minutes by foot to the local restaurants & shops. The innkeepers were friendly & accommodating & made us feel welcome. I was a little put out by the fact that...

My girlfriend and I recently had a great weekend stay at this charming bed and breakfast in Wakefield, Rhode Island. The owners, Stephanie and Dave, were very friendly and loved interacting with their guests. They served a delicious breakfast, and made us feel very welcome. We'd stay there again and highly recommend the Sugar Loaf Inn.
