When you visit Beaufort, you must stay at the Cuthbert House. From beginning to end, a great experience. The house is beautiful and perfectly located; the owners gracious and expert; the staff impeccable. The house overlooks the water in front and the garden behind; all the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the company of other guests...

Every year in January we take a long weekend “adventure” to escape the wife’s b-day. (See if we’re out of town the event never happened) This year we escaped to the tiny town of Beaufort, South Carolina. Tucked a few miles east of I-95 in the heart of the South Carolina Sea Islands between Savannah and Charleston, aside the glimmering...

We stayed in the Federal Room, where General Sherman apparently slept in January 1865. It is large with high ceilings and beautifully decorated. I have nothing but praise for the facility, owners, and staff. Breakfast was a delight. Special thanks to Will who made for a truly nice host.

After waiting years, we spent a mini vacation at the Cuthbert House Inn. Of all our many, many travels to various destinations in South Carolina, I would rate this stay in our top two. The house itself is pure southern charm and the staff provides the very definition of customer service. From the moment of your arrival, you feel welcome...

This is our third B&B stay in Beaufort and it certainly has been our best. Check in was nice and was accompanied by a tour prior to going to our room. The room was very comfortable, had a great view of the water but was a bit furniture "overcrowded." The staff is excellent and most helpful. Breakfast is delightful and...

Beautiful old home. It was right on the water. Great views and lots of porches to enjoy a glass of wine. My husband and I were very comfortable staying here. We were able to walk downtown for dinner. Loved the breakfast. We would stay there again.

We arrived at Cuthbert House Inn at 3PM Christmas Eve; our "suite" was ready. It was a lovely ground floor room. Perfect for us since we brought our Boykin Spaniel, Dixie..very bright and cheery, blues and yellows. Very welcoming! We took a tour of the area and arrived back at the Inn in time for Happy Hour; we were given...

I so enjoyed staying at the Cuthbert House. The hosts were hospitable and knowledgeable, the breakfast was delicious, and the room just splendid!! It was right down the street from historic Beaufort so one could walk to some fun stores, hang out by the water and enjoy the great beauty of the city. Highly recommended!

My wife Melanie and I are originally from New Orleans, and when we were growing up down there we often spent overnight stays at some of the most famous plantations homes. While on a smaller scale, but no less grade of one, we felt like we were swept back 120+ years in time. The staff is gracious and the reception...
