We stayed in a studio. It was larger than expected, and the fireplace served as a divider between the bedroom area and the living room area, which was nice. The bathroom and closet were tight, but at least the sink was outside the toilet/bath. There was a kitchenette area with an undercounter fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Since this is... More

My husband and I come to charleston and stay at the lodge alley every year. This experience was wonderful again but needs a few updates. However, it was disclosed that they are completely renovating the rooms and should be done by next year. I have added some court yard pictures but do not have any room pictures. We stayed in... We recently stayed in room 212. My biggest complaint had to do with bathroom noises from room 213 which apparently share a common wall with bathroom plumbing. Every flush sounded as if you were in the same room. The shower was just as loud. The floors are very squeaky. Because of the mantle position (over fireplace) you have to be... More

Spent two days at the Inn last week. We were very impressed and will be back. The Inn is right in the historic district and we walked everywhere we went. Great restaurants and shopping located right by Inn. I cant imagine a better base to see Charleston from.

Stayed here in mid summer, avoid rooms above restaurant of you have kids, old building. And road noise, but so close to everything, market just a block or so away, very very nice people, valet parking a great plus on a very busy downtown street. But to be in the center of it all is worth it.

Located right downtown near the market and cruise terminal sits this quiet little gem...Loved the rooms and the way it keeps its southern charm intact from years of history...The staff is excellent and there is also valet parking...Anyone who loves any kind of history should stay at this hotel...

My husband and I have stayed at the Lodge Alley Inn whenever we are in Charleston. Up until this last visit we had enjoyed the stay. We were not aware that it was a tiime share until the first visit, but we had avoided the "presentation", and found it pleasant, so we kept returning. On our most current visit, July... More

We have stayed at The Lodge Alley Inn many times and it has always been a pleasure! It is always consistently clean, the staff friendly and welcoming, and we always leave wishing we could stay longer! Our favorite rooms are the suites in the courtyard. Beautiful! Can hardly wait till next time!

Hotel room had leak in ceiling, had to call down multiple times when we needed extra towels and even toilet paper. Hallways were blazing hot. Thermostat was set to 81. When we mentioned how hot it was at front desk we came in later and it was on 84. Almost every hotel offers free wine and cheese & apps for... More

Service was impeccable at this location. The staff always went out of their way to establish "southern hospitality." Everyone was really efficient. They are well prepared. As a guest, I did not have to pay anything. For what it's worth. The beds were extremely high four poster beds. It is so high you need steps to get to the bed.... More
