The King George IV Inn is architecturally similar to many historic buildings in Charleston. Our room had a sitting room which was really good and we were grateful for that. The breakfast was alright but not spectacular. It set us up for the day. There are plenty of eating and dining places nearby especially on King St and Miss Charlene's...

The beds were comfortable and the rooms are spacious. There is enough parking for one car per room. The location is great -- steps from King and not far at all from East Bay. The rate was better than the Best Western. Do yourself a favor and skip breakfast; it sucks. Flavorless eggs, thin bacon, frozen waffles, and watery coffee...

A block from King Street, right in the heart of Historic Downtown Charleston. Great nearby restaurants, all the culture you can ever want just steps away. Terry and Debra are the best hosts I have ever experienced at a B&B. Lots of excellent suggestions and there to answer any of our questions. The rooms are all amazing. We were lucky...

My daughter and I spent a long weekend at the inn recently. Debra and Terry are wonderful hosts and Charlene is a delight as well. Our room was huge and beautiful. There isn't a true common parlor on the ground floor but my daughter and I didn't mind at all. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Can't beat the location;...

incredible home, PERFECT!! location, incredible staff and couldn't have been a better stay. So close to everything, nice to find a place with on site parking too. Breakfast was great every morning, and we loved enjoying the numerous outdoor sitting areas at night.

. . . and the KG IV certainly has that going for it. It's beautifully nestled between King and George street and within walking distance of great restaurants, points of historical interest and venues of cultural import. Plus, you would be hard pressed to find better hosts than Debra and Terry. Of course, it's obvious from the moment you first...

Friendly, well located B & B. Nice hosts, good breakfasts to order and an elusive cat. Its location North of Broad is within walking distance of anywhere else downtown. Terry had great restaurant suggestions. And ask Charlene about Paolo.

We stayed here this weekend. I loved the spacious rooms. The beds were beyond comfortable. The hostess, Charlene was wonderful. The location was within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was good but mostly gone by 9 am. I felt pressured not to sleep in or there would be little food left. There is no parlor or formal dining room. I...

Like most have said, I would definitely stay here again. Hands down the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! The location is perfect for walking anywhere. We had the perfect honeymoon here. The breakfasts are delicious and filling. Really no need to plan on lunch - you will be okay until dinner. Terry recommends the best places in town...

We just returned from Charleston and spent two very comfortable days and nights in the King George. Often I am a little shy about staying in a B & B but from the moment we spoke to Ms Charlene we felt like we were being greeted by a dear, old friend. She is so warm and offers such hostitality it...
