We stayed in the campground for three nights. The sites are well spaced and most are private to semi-private. The facilities are well maintained. The drive into historical Charleston is very easy from here

We decided to get our camper out and about! Chose james islandcounty park!. The sites were all well taken care of, had a great amount of shade! Bike trails everywhere, large playground in the county park area, splash pad for the kiddos. We also enjoyed the "outdoor festival" that was going on whwre we were able to try out archery,...

We enjoyed our time here! We camped for 7 nights. Showers were great, entire campground area was cleaned daily, staff was helpful. We stayed in the primitive area, so there was no electricity or water at our campsite. We charged our phones in our vehicle and at the rv bathhouse. If you stay in the primitive area, there are no...

After reading many reviews I booked our stay at James Island County Campground. Best campground I have ever stayed in. Lots to do for all ages: fishing, athletic challenges, miles of paved trails, water park as well as camping. The folks running this place are very kind and more than willing to answer your questions. I love the hot showers...

We had a great time at James Island County Park. We camped there for 5 nights. The campground is quiet and clean with wonderful bathroom facilities. There are 4 shower stalls in each bathroom and the showers are luxuriously hot with shower heads that are plenty tall enough for my 6'4" husband. There is lots to do at the Park,...

BEST of the BEST My husband have just purchased our first RV 5th wheel. We started our adventure from Michigan and headed south. After stopping at a few other campground on our way South we ended up at James Island. Our plan of staying a week ended up being two weeks. This park has so much to offer, even for...

What a lovely place. Not only is there is a campground. There is also a dog park, a day use picnic ground, a splash park for kids, and a lovely setting to refresh your soul. Fot the RV crowd, there are back-in sites as well as pull-through. The pull-through sites can be very large which will support tow vehicles and...

Bring your bikes and kayaks. Very nice paved bike trails and nice lake to paddle. Loved there dog park next to...
