We just spent two days at the Cambria. I can say that it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. And those are the two most important things in a hotel room. But other than that, I can’t say anything good about the hotel The design of the room was not for comfort. There was one vinyl covered chair for us to sit on. The television is positioned on the wall to the side of the bed and could be rotated some what. It made for far less than comfortable viewing . The bathroom door was one of the sliding barn door tops, it left a huge gap in the side when it was closed which offered little privacy Which at times is very important when you are in the bathroom. The “couch” was not at all comfortable. When I asked for decaf coffee for the Keurig coffee pot, the maid did not have any idea what decaf coffee was. The refrigerator was barely cool at all and the extremely small freezer compartment was frozen solid with ice. We will most likely not stay at this hotel again.

This hotel must be new. It's gorgeous and modern, the hotel staff are very friendly and nice, and it's super clean. Our room was bigger than expected as well. We really appreciated the mini fridge, microwave and Keurig in the room too. The location is great also -- just across the bridge from historic Charleston. There are no fees for parking and the area around it is very nice, quiet, and new as well. We're already planning a trip to return in April, and we will definitely be staying at this Cambria Hotel.

Right outside of a city that is nationally regarded for its charm and southern hospitality, I received the least hospitable experience possible from the Cambria Hotel. In the middle of a road trip from Boston to Miami, my pregnant girlfriend and I booked a room at this hotel through groupon to stop and rest for the night. We booked the room at around 1-2 pm and even called beforehand to make sure there would be no issues at check in. I was assured over the phone that somebody would be at the desk to assist us at 11 pm when we were set to arrive and that we’d be checked in no problem. After a full day of driving, we finally arrived only to be told by Antonio at the front desk that there was no record of our reservation and the hotel was fully booked, despite the fact that we had already been billed for it and had a confirmation number from groupon. Antonio made no further effort to assist me in finding alternate arrangements and repeatedly brushed me off, completely refusing to make any effort to walk us to another hotel or make it up to us in any way. He also told us he would do nothing to help us get our money back from groupon. After being unapologetically rebuked by Antonio and the Cambria, I went across the street to the Hilton, where they were under no obligation to do anything for me, and even though they were fully booked the actual hospitality professionals at the Hilton called 6-7 other hotels in the area on my behalf to try to find us some accommodations. I’ll repeat that to emphasize, the hotel we had actually booked a room at did absolutely nothing to assist us in finding lodging, and the hotel across the street did. Truly the worst and least hospitable service I have ever received in years of travel. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of the professionals at the Hilton across the street, the town was fully booked for the night, and we had to drive another hour up the highway to find accommodations. The next day, I contacted the Cambria’s management to inform them of how poorly their staff handled the situation, something I have never done in hundreds of hotel stays. They assured me that the way I was handled was not in keeping with the way their hotel does business and also promised me they would be sending me an email with details on how they would be making this disaster up to me. I never heard from them again. After being brushed off, disrespected, and blatantly lied to by the staff at this sorry excuse for a hotel, I have chosen to leave this review and inform others of what happened here for literally the first time in my life. Instead of southern hospitality and a warm bed, I found nothing but indifference, dishonesty, and disrespect at the Cambria. Try the Hilton across the street if you’re in the area, you’ll be treated far better.

My family and I are currently here, leaving Saturday. Drove down from Indiana for a first time visit to Charleston. This hotel seems nice online but has more inconveniences that one would have thought. First we booked 2 rooms. One was ready at check in time at 3 and the other room was not ready until 5:00pm. So we all had to hang out in one room while second room was being cleaned. Second, there is no housekeeping while you are here. We have ran out of coffee, creamer, soap, shampoo and towels. If you call guest service, no one answers the phone. Have gone to front desk to ask for items, was given the coffee, creamer, and shampoo, but no towels. Caught a housekeeper who told me all laundry is done and I should have been given some at the front desk. ( front desk says there are none ready and they will bring some up) also pool is not heated, it’s very cold. Mask mandate is not being enforced even though we were told we could be fined $150 If caught not wearing it. We are going on day 3 with no clean towels and having to go to front desk every single time we need something. I know it’s a pandemic and things aren’t the same as before but this stay has been less than enjoyable due to these inconveniences.

We loved staying at Cambria! The staff was awesome. Staff was knowledgeable of all the area, accommodating our needs, and even had a flyer With restaurant recommendations from the different neighborhoods. Our room was clean, spacious, and very restful. I will highly recommend staying here next time you visit Charleston.
