I reserved a block of rooms here for my wedding this Fall and everything went great. All the staff were so accommodating from the booking the rooms to checking out. The staff accommodated lots of little requests that I had throughout my stay. The only negative to note is that the rooms are on the smaller side. This is not... More

Really enjoyed our stay here. A surprise 50th birthday for my sister! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed the piano player, added much to the atmosphere. Loved the game day snacks and appetizers in the lobby. "Mr. Bill", our bellhop was so friendly and helpful. We loved the free bike rentals. We took advantage and rode through the... More

I stayed here for the first time this month. The hotel is situated in the historic distance within walking distance to everything. I had a lovely room with a balcony. Awesome staff and charm! Had awesome rack of lamb at Wentworth Grille. I will definitely stay here again.

Having stayed at many luxury hotels in my lifetime I would not put this one in that category. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bar downstairs had the best crab cakes and adequate wine list, but could not drink my Martini. Central location was wonderful. I could walk to just about everything. Room was tight with a view of a... More

This is a very nice hotel in the historic district. It is hard to complain about something so nice except that this property is not as nice as other Renaissance Hotels I have stayed in around the world. The personnel are pleasant and most helpful to sceptic that the concierge was not well versed in things around Charleston and wasn't... More

Stayed here for 2 nights for a September wedding. Hotel is located in downtown near many Charleston attractions. Staff was helpful. Hadyn was a great source on local places to experience. My room was uber small, really small. Facilities were otherwise nice. Fire alarm went off at 8am on a Sunday morning, followed by housekeeping knocking at 8:30am (check out... More

Beautiful hotel and room in a fantastic location to walk around town. Surrounding the hotel is a variety of stores for excellent shopping. The area restaurants have some of the best food in the country, too! The hotel brings together a great getaway!

We visited over the Thanksgiving break and the location was perfect. Right in the historic district. We use Marriott points, so we do get it for free. Lovely hotel, room very nice. Location can't be beat. Felt safe walking everywhere. Friendly staff, cute hotel.

We recently stayed at the Renaissance Charleston Historic District for a wedding in Charleston. We found the location to be great for exploring, since it was close to the Market area and lots of restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful making dinner reservations. The room was nicely appointed and spacious. Parking was convenient and right across the street. We... More
