No breakfast available on Monday morning. We arrived on Sunday at 3pm. “Check in is at 4” and they made us wait until 4. When was the last time you couldn’t check in at a US hotel by 3pm? We come to Charleston often. Would never imagine staying at this hotel again.

As we navigate through the effects of the pandemic, we are able to offer more and more amenities that were once unavailable. Additionally, Spring has sprung, and Charleston is a popular location for families and business travels. As we find all hotels full occupied on Friday and Saturday nights, our housekeeping staff is working hard to turn rooms over as soon as they can, in order to meet the demands of early arrivals wishing to check in. We thank you for showing patience as our staff diligently worked hard to accommodate your early arrival request. We hope that your travels will bring you back to Charleston soon!

I stayed here recently for a couple nights with my husband and it was absolutely wonderful! The room was very nice, service was great, and everything was super well kept. Plus, I had an amazing experience with valet, especially with Manny! He did such a great job and he was so sweet! Me and my husband are definitely staying here again in the near future!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our visit with us! I am glad that you enjoyed your accommodations, I will share your kindness with our housekeeping department who works so hard to deliver top notch service to our guests. Manny is a very valuable member of our valet team. I will share this with his manager to give due credit. Thank you again for your review, we hope to see you again real soon!

We visited during COVID which complicates everything. When we arrived it was raining, thank goodness they have valet parking. “Manny” was excellent and he went above and beyond in the rain to help. The entire valet staff did a great job during our stay. Things changed when we entered the hotel, there weren’t any bellmen, no one to assist with luggage. The hotel was very busy, and luggage carts were not visible. I was finally able to get the attention of a busy desk clerk and he raced to get us a luggage cart while our luggage was piled at the door of the hotel. The staffing seemed to be very low throughout the entire hotel. Having worked in the hotel industry at one time for many years, cleanliness, staffing & service are a priority. We enjoyed our stay, and understand COVID has been an issue but hope they ramp up the staffing soon. It appears people are ready to start traveling and the hospitality industry needs to prepare. Great location.

Thank you for your honest feedback, and showing understanding of our staffing situation. All hospitality in Charleston struggles with staffing, as you can imagine. Hundreds of hotels and restaurants in Charleston struggle to staff up properly. Even though its been difficult, the staff that we have have committed to overcoming hurdles and providing the best service we can. Thank you again for sharing your experience, we hope that you will be able to visit our charming city soon!

We were able to walk from here to almost all of the places we wanted to visit in Charleston, including the pier for Ft. Sumter. Great central location! Valet parking was $37/day. Staff was friendly, and the hotel was consistent with what I expect from the Courtyard brand.

We used valet every day and loved it! Mimi and Ryan are awesome! I had my car within 5 minutes and the texting option worked great! I love the turnaround driveway. They were polite and respectful! True southern hospitality!
