The good things about this hotel is that it's in a great location downtown, walking distant to shops, visitor center, covered market and the aquarium. It was very clean except for a spot on the carpet in our room and the room was a nice size. The drawbacks were the room was not ready by check-In and after one day...

Convenient location, great staff but noisy and hot. My AC kept shutting itself off. Hotel has one of those web-based environment controls. Appears the thermostats in the room are to give one something to play with. Would be nice to be able to open windows and allow fresh air in. My room was over the reception area. Either emergency vehicles...

Location was decent. Within 15 minutes of walking to most things such as the market and top rated restaurants. Customer Service was average. And upon arrival, the room was not all that clean, with some hair and sand in the chest of drawers and on the closet floor. Friendliness was hit or miss. For the $300 per night price tag...

I booked the Courtyard because of Kevin McQuade, the concierge extraordinaire with amazing TA reviews. We always research and plan our own trips, but this time, based on the rave reviews, we were putting our vacation in Kevin's hands. I called him a few weeks before our stay to ask about planning our visit. He tossed out some ideas and...

Well-located on north end of historic district, across from Marion Square and 10-minute walk south to City Market; then another 5-10 minutes to Broad St. and the Battery. Andrea the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. Her advice really made our trip exceptional. Be sure to call a few weeks out for restaurant reservations and other plans, especially on popular...

Nicely located next to all historic attractions, walking distance to many restaurants. Room was average, with no southern flair. Special thanks to Andrea the Concierge!!! She helped us plan our activities, made awesome recommendation for lunch and dinner, and was overall amazing and patient. Andrea was a perfect example of southern hospitality.

Stayed at this hotel for a conference. Brought family along. They spent the week seeing the sights of Charleston. I was able to see some of the city as well. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was a bit noisy when either of us moved, not sure what that was all about. Something in the base of...

This was our first time to Charleston and it could not have been easier due to the location of the hotel. We took the CARTA bus from the airport to the Visitor Center for $3.50 per person and we didn't realize that the hotel is one block from the center. After dropping off our stuff, it is right on Meeting...

This hotel is in a great location with DASH service around the corner or easy waking distance to downtown historic district. The rooms are clean, parking is easy. The major problem that we have with this hotel is housekeeping. Our room was cleaned at the earliest was 3PM and the latest was 7:30PM. This is not acceptable for any hotel...

Our 5 night stay at the Courtyard Charleston Historic District was long enough to expose a number of flaws that otherwise even out other superior features here, and negate any value of this higher priced venue. What went right? 1. Service is superior. Front desk and Concierge staff are first rate (even if they can't do anything about a problem)....
