All of the staff we encountered during our 5 night stay at the inn were very friendly, personable, and willing to make accommodations we requested in a timely manner. Our room was clean when we checked in and we loved the trail mix and champagne in the room. This was a much needed relaxing getaway for my boyfriend and I.... More

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Inn and Plantation. The accommodation are beautiful and the view from our windows were fantastic. You must enjoy a dinner or two at the restaurant. The food was excellent and the wait staff superb. Very professional. The House and Gardens are lovely. Strolling through the gardens and walking the river... More

The Inn bears no resemblance to the outstanding beauty of the historical Middleton Place estate. It is separated geographically and by quality. Neither parking surface nor paths are paved. Gravel and dust will fill up a lady's summer sandals within steps. The grounds are unkempt. Overgrowth on the riverbank obscures a romantic sunset view of the Ashley River from the... More

Please understand that The Inn was designed to be minimalistic and comfortable. It was to be a counterpart to the historic architecture of Middleton Place, but at the same time respecting the scale, proportions, texture and color of the historic buildings. When completed 28 years ago, the Inn won the highest architectural award offered at that time, the American Institute... More

Great hospitality, facilities and food for my sister's wedding and our extended stay at the inn. Beautiful location, very large rooms. The inclusion of the passes to Middleton Place Plantation was definitely worth taking advantage of. Wish we could have stayed longer.

For Labor Day Weekend,we opted for a relaxing, peaceful stay at the Inn at Middleton Place, and we made a great choice. The Inn is actually a series of buildings of architectural design so as to compliment the serene setting and give a nod to the historic plantation house, itself. Since the Inn is pet friendly, we were able to... More

The personal were not very friendly except the young lady who checked us in. The rooms were not swept well or vacuumed well especially under the bed. The supplies were not replaced daily in the bathroom, the bathroom glasses were not replaced daily. We had to wash them each day. The kyacking area was not kept up well either. The... More

Thank you for your review. We are comforted to know that the inclusion of Middleton Place’s admission (a $86 value, per night, per couple) was a positive for you. We do battle the elements of nature in our sandy location and are sorry that they were not removed from your room. We hope you will consider returning, both the Inn... More

It was like being in a fairytale. We live in Charleston but the grounds make you feel like you are 1,000 miles away. We loved spending time by the pool and riding the bicycles through the grounds. Extremely peaceful.

Lovely location with walking trail to the gardens of Middleton Plantation. Large, comfortable accommodations with a great view from the expansive windows. Breakfast offers a great variety and tasty sandwiches are available at the Lake House.

Had a wonderful time here with my husband. We chose to stay here while visiting Charleston and we made a great choice. Would recommend the same to others since its only a 25 min drive to Charleston historic downtown. Hotels in that area are more expensive and not as beautiful as Middleton Inn. It's on the plantation and right on... More
