This hotel was terrific. I don't write many reviews, but the experience at the Spectator deserves one. The people were great, the room was luxurious and quiet, the location is perfect. The butlers were extremely attentive, professional and friendly (especially Chuck). We walked to all of our meals-this hotel is very close to many of the great restaurants in Charleston. Spend a little extra and stay here.

Hotel's Favourite
We were looking for a short isolation getaway to Charleston and this was our second stay at The Spectator Hotel. It did not disappoint. In addition to their already "over the top" service, the hotel and staff had implemented safely measures that made us feel very comfortable with our decision. Days before our arrival, I spoke with Nick, the concierge, to ask about the protocols. He was very helpful and professional. Everyone was masked up and you couldn't miss all the hand sanitizing stations and packets. Enough about Covid though. The Spectator has beautifully appointed rooms and I even inquired about the manufacturer of the mattress. It is so comfy, I think I just might have to have one. They have superb butlers (thanks David), great in-room breakfast options, and the Spectator bar is one of my favorites in all of Charleston. The ambience is very relaxing and the craft cocktails by Alan and his crew are top notch. The location is perfect for walking to all your favorite spots. I love this hotel and can't wait to return. Cannot recommend enough. Thanks to everyone for a memorable stay.

My Husband and I went to the Spectator Hotel for our Honeymoon and I ALREADY want to go back. There was lots of delicious food within a short walking distance, plenty of places to see on our morning and afternoon walks, and lots of LOVELY real estate to admire. Overall 11/10 recommend this hotel, the staff and services that they provided exceeded all of our expectations!

While it is expensive, I love this place. Very convenient. Close to lots of places. Staff is outstanding. Breakfast in the room is a plus. Great room. Lots of amenities. Only downside is that you have to order ice, but it gets there quick. Valet parking.
