Great hotel.....very good location. In for the Gordon Lightfoot concert. Walking distant to the Charleston Music Hall. Will stay here again. Also great restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggestions on where to go and what to see.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

We stayed at the Embassy Suites for 5 nights, Monday through Friday, & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We chose our room through a Hilton App that allowed us to see what we were getting (4th floor, odd number....) & the room was just great - what more would you want than two rooms, two TVs, a well-appointed bath, frig, etc.....

This former citadel turned hotel is in need of refurbishing but provides quiet location and is probably good for groups. The drapes are hard to open and beds lumpy, but rooms are spacious with sitting/ living room with tv and separate bedroom with tv. Microwave and fridge, sink and counter, and small table could be helpful if guests want to...

The building looks like a castle. It's an easy and mostly level walk to the historic district. I thought the lobby and courtroom were great looking and the staff was nice. The breakfast was very crowded and not as nice as a lot of Embassy Suites. My room was nice and had a cool brick wall.

Wall paper hanging off the walls in bath room, mildew all over tub, chaulking around tub missing or black, room door won't close unless it is slammed, window in room all rotted, drapery won't close or open, furniture in room looks like it came from goodwill. No restaurant just cafeteria for breakfast. Breakfast was like eating in the soup kitchen. Most...

This property is an Embassy Suites that was converted from the old Citadel. It is very historic and very old. Thus, is you are looking for a flashy, modern hotel, this is not the place for you. I love historic buildings and I loved staying here. The public areas are beautiful. The room was a bit dark and a bit...

The Old Citadel site was developed in 1758 and has undergone many changes before being taken over by Embassy Suites in 1996. The staff is extremely accommodating and do the best they can with what they have to work with. The guest suites need major renovations, especially the bathrooms. The ten foot wall surrounding the complex obstructs outside views for...

Been years since been here. Hotel staff was superb. Room in historic section clean and comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was prepared to order. Absolutely happy with the mean. Only tip is be carful in shower. Our tub-shower combination was too slick to safely stand. Had to put a towel in tub to shower.

The Embassy Suites in downtown Charleston is a wonderful place to stay when visiting this enchanting city. The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful and friendly. With a cooked to order breakfast and an evening happy hour, the price cannot be beat. The onsite restaurant also offers a great menu and the food is reasonably priced.

Staff was great, lots of running around room for young kids, park right next door with farmers market and bounce house on Saturday, walking distance to children's museum. I would stay here again, and recommend it for families with young children.
