Very attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet, with group discount, was good. Any problems fixed immediately. Old, out of date decor in rooms. Housekeeping keeps place clean, but carpeting and some furniture is stained. Appliances work well. In general, the hotel is ok, but needs a serious update/upgrade..

I reserved this room through Priceline which always causes a little anxiety and after reading some of the other reviews I was definitely nervous before arriving. However, we had a excellent stay. The staff is wonderful and friendly; check in was quick and the room was clean. It is an older hotel and shows its age but we were well...

I am staying this weekend at the Clarion Hotel Downtown. Now for those of you that follow my travels, you are aware that I am a very foo-foo type of traveler. For this trip, the accommodations were specified and I was not able to deviate my lodgings. Let me say the positives up front as usual. It alway easy to...

Alyssa at the front desk was so incredible kind and sweet! Elizabeth was a wonderful Joy to talk with and helped me out a great deal! And to my surprise I got upgraded upon arrival to a $250 a night room, when I booked a $79 room!

Columbia, as the state capital of South Carolina, is small compared to say Atlanta, State capital of Georgia. So it is quite walkable and this hotel is suitably placed within 10 minutes of the Capitol building, the shops and restaurants. A bit dated but very friendly and welcoming. Suitable for shorter stays, 1-2 nights, as there's not a great amount...

Suitably placed in Columbia, this hotel offers good service and friendly staff. Many choices locally to eat and within walking distance. Rooms are a little tired but OK for one night. Beds comfy. Only saw one cockroach and it was soon dealt with.

The Clarion Hotel in downtown Columbia, SC is a well maintained, fully staffed, and centrally located for the traveler who enjoys the historic part of town. Yet, it is only a few miles from the interstate and more recent shopping areas as well as USC. Our suite had a comfortable king sized bed, nice sofa, table and chairs and best...

We booked 4 rooms for family for USC graduation for 3 nights. Rooms and facilities were good, clean, and price fair. A little dated but that was easily made up for by the staff. Staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. Had breakfast, dinner and Mom's day dinner - all food was EXCELLENT. We'd...
