I've stayed in the lodge before but this trip was in the Naiset Huts which is also run by the lodge. The accommodation is simple and affordable and they have a well stocked cookhouse with pots and pans and stoves for guest use. I love assiniboine for the seclusion and scenic beauty and would highly recommend the lodge if money...

Would highly recommend Assiniboine Lodge. We went for the hiking and were not disappointed! Lots of great marked trails, but Claude (one of the operators of the lodge) took us on some amazing off trail hikes as well. We would highly recommend Assiniboine Lodge. Claude, Andre and the entire staff do a bang up job of taking care of everyone....

My husband and I stayed at Assiniboine Lodge for 5 nights. The staff was always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Meals are out of this world. The hiking and scenery will stay with me forever. Room tip -- stay in a cabin if you can - peaceful, beautiful, and sparkling clean. We are already planning a return trip. Marilyn and David...

Lake Magog campground is about 2k away from the Lodge. It was wonderful. Also really enjoyed visiting the lodge for tea time in the afternoon (wine, beer, tea, cake available for purchase). Amazing view from the lodge right onto lake Magog and up at Mt. Assiniboine. TIP: if you're hiking out towards amount Shark and have parked at the helipad...

I have done a lot of hiking throughout the Rockies and elsewhere and I can honestly say none have been better than the 3 days of hiking we did just prior to the Canada Day weekend around Mount Assiniboine Lodge. The variety and diversity of the terrain was impressive and offered a surprise around every turn. The mountain scenery and...

The Naiset Huts are located in Assiniboine Provincial Park. The huts are very rustic, bring your own sleeping bag, 6 people to a hut and they are intended for communal living. There are no restaurants, no stores, no showers, pit toilets - yes but there is also a nice communal cooking shelter with 2 burner propane stoves, LED lighting and...

Mt. Assiniboine is truly a YOLO experience. The mountain is the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies. The lodge is accessible either by hiking in (from Mt. Shark or Sunshine Meadows) or by Helicopter (from Canmore or Mt. Shark). It is a classic old mountain lodge with 5 rooms and 5(?) associated cabins. All told, there are 30 guests at any...

A special spring weekend to celebrate my son's birthday milestone at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Memories were made from the helicopter ride through the Canadian Rockies into the lodge for a 3 days/2 nights staying in one of their lodge cabins nestled below Mount Assiniboine the "Matterhorn" of the Rockies. The food was spectacular (summoned by the sound of...

My family and I spent 4 amazing days in this park last summer. The Naiset Huts were an inexpensive and rustic option to the lodge, but fantastic and easy on the wallet as we had to helicopter ($) in with our 9, 10 and 13 year old kids. The Wonder Lodge cooking shelter was fabulous and had all the amenities....
