We stayed a week and it was Very noise all hours with traffic noise, planes, trains, sirens and trash trucks. Permanent residence spilled over from the trailer park next door. Only one bathhouse for the campground and no fire rings for safe camp fires.

Though it's a 45 minute trip to the beach, this place is outstanding! Very helpful staff, clean sites and plenty of room. The only tricky part is getting in off the main road "not KOAs fault" it's a four lane mini highway and people run it like a speedway. You have to act quickly or you will sit waiting to... More

Was easy enough to get to downtown Charleston and back and to all the sites without much trouble once we learned the lay of the land. The park its self is not bad but the water hydrant we hooked up too need a handle and i use my pliers to turn the water on. The cable was horrible so was... More

The location is good. Takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Charleston and 30 minutes to beach. Is only 2 minutes from a big flea market. Is not the cleanest KOA I have ever been in. Nothing fancy really. Has a clean pool and nice staff. Located directly between a trailer park and the Interstate. Some of the people... More

My wife and I stayed here three nights. Great pool and nice staff. They also have some full time campers but oberall it's a nice place to stay. Within twenty minutes of historic Charleston. I would stay again.

After reading several poor reviews, we were worried. We could not have been more pleased with our stay - friendly staff, great site, dog friendly, convenient, clean, pool & bathrooms clean, many sites nicely wooded. Do not see a problem with the nearby trailer park. Anyone who says this is a bad KOA has not traveled much of the USA.... More

Green and a lot of trees, with friendly staff, but typical of KOA: narrow roads, close together sites. Apparently only a few sites have a sewer connection, so beware. Office said that I had reserved an e/w only site for a class A motorhome, staying a week. Really? They claimed to be unable to accommodate a change of site. Well,... More

We spent one week here-would not return. Our first site had a lot of loose debris laying around-it looked like a wind storm had come through and the maintenance folks didn't feel like cleaning it up. It also looked over at some tent campers who were clearly living permanently in a tent. Our car could not fit safely in the... More

This was my second visit to this location. My first time was summer time and my camper was over run by ants and the staff acted like they didn't care. This visit the staff was friendly but facilities are rough. The wet weather turned our site into a mud pit. It rained the second day and we had 2 inches... More

We had a pull through camp site and our camper had its own shower so I didn't have to use the camp facilities--in reading the other reviews I'm glad this was the case. The swimming pool was nice and clean, the kids had plenty of space to ride their bikes, and the staff was friendly so that was all we... More
