We felt lucky to find a B&B close to I-95 on a recent trip north and after reading the glowing reviews, were very excited about staying here. The Inn and grounds are beautiful. The owners carefully updated this historic property with modern conveniences while keeping the original architectural details; we loved that. Sadly, our trip was a little disappointing, very...

We were looking for a B&B close off 95 to break up our trip home between Florida and Maryland. Abingdon Manor was just the right find. A beautiful home, manicured landscaping, gorgeous room and 5-star gourmet dinner and breakfast is just what we needed to totally decompress. Our hosts were gracious and welcoming. This gem is a keeper for our...

This is an elegant well cared for Inn with wonderful hospitality. We so enjoyed the grounds and the opportunity provided to meet the other guests at the cocktail hour before dinner--many of whom came to the inn on a regular basis. Very friendly.

we recommend this wonderful inn/restaurant to all our friends travelling the north/south route on I95. Just a few minutes from the highway, this gracious inn provides what the upscale driver needs...peace, comfort, great food and service, and a charming overnite.

I could say the same things that everyone else has said but that would be redundant and silly. Believe what you read and just stop in and let Michael and Patty pamper you! Michael will meet you at the door and Patty will be out to make sure that your meal is to your liking. There in no "downside" to...

We have actually lived in the area for nearly 10 years. We have heard of Abingdon Manor on numerous occasions but have only recently gotten around to visiting. I can honestly say I wish we had visited sooner. Many may shy away from this establishment as the food prices are a bit higher than normal run-of-the-mill restaurants but let me...

A break from the tedious 95 road trip, going north or south. Spacious rooms, great food, outstanding property. The six course meal sounds overwhelming, but the portions are just right, and the wine pairings perfect. S & O

Abingdon Manor provides the only luxury accommodations in the Carolinas or Georgia close to interstate 95. The Inn is listed by AAA as a “Classic Country Inn” and had received the prestigious Four Diamond rating for fifteen consecutive years. The property, on the National Register of Historic Places, was built at the beginning of the 20th century as an opulent private home and, while now an Inn, retains the feel of an opulent private residence. A member of Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of North American, Abingdon Manor is ranked among the best Inns in the country. Located in a residential section of the historic district in the charming village of Latta it is just 25 miles north of Florence. The Inn is halfway between New York City and Palm Beach as well as Washington DC and Jacksonville, Florida and it is just 5 miles east of 95. Purchased by Michael and Patty Griffey from Miami, Florida in 1995 to operate as a luxury Inn, extensive renovations, decorating and landscaping have turned this magnificent building into a refined, elegant setting for travelers. The seven guest rooms in the 10,000 square foot building insures privacy, peace and tranquility.
