So we got there very late, and was confused on where to go to check in. The check is NOT at the tower it's across the road at their office. To the left if you were facing the ocean its another parking that you could use. After checking in we tried to find parking at the tower and none was available, so dropped off the family and went park across the street. Room was spacious for family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids younger than 5yo). Everything was working nicely there. We were so grateful that they had a half kitchen so was able to use microwave and kept our drinks cold/frozen etc. The midnight fireworks was a fun/nice surprise for our kids. As for the elevator/stairways, it was at first a little disgusting because the the elevator just had pools of water, the engineer walked over to catch the same elevator and mentioned something about folks not using their towels to dry off before heading to elevator which made sense. We enjoyed the indoor pool during the blazing hot sun was out and when evening came took our kids out to the beach and they just loved it. We came ended up at the pool while I enjoyed drinks at the BAR... I went up to our room and napped while my spouse stayed with the kids till the pool was closed. They had a wonderful time and so it made our trip awesome despite the little weird things that happened (no towels at the indoor pool area, didn't do much cleaning there since dirty towels from hopefully day before and not dayS). I won't recommend eating at the restaurant there unless you have no other choice...I think my kids hotdog got microwaved or something coz it was still cold in the middle. HA!

We did have a decent view of the ocean. The room was clean and plenty big. The staff was very polite. But that’s about all I can say positive. Our door lock failed so we were locked out of our room for a half hour, and stuck in our room until it could get replaced. Parking was terrible. I have a truck and could only manage to fit in a couple of the spots (if there were any available). Otherwise you have to park in the ramp across the street (which was also very difficult). It was sufficient for sleeping/showering/taking a break, but that was about it. If we visit again I would certainly pick somewhere else.

This place is horrible. I wouldn't come back if they gave me a free room. We're in the Towers. Carpeting ripped, musty, wet and dirty. Bathroom dirty, water trickles out of the shower. Went to step out on the patio and there were inches of water. Called the desk, told there were no rooms available. Walked across the street to registration. Spoke with another employee who was very nice and offered to send maintenance. They came with a wet vac. Two buckets of water removed from our patio. Drain holes were plugged..and no one noticed this? Housekeeping was sent to the room to spray the musty carpeting. King suite advertises a kitchen, which it has. Online photo's show a table in the room.
No table, no place to eat but your lap. What a joke Called every hotel around, everyone is booked. Decided to leave early. Found another place starting Sunday. Paying close to
$ 230.00 night...despicable. Desk claims no rooms available but yet the website shows availabilities. Do yourself a favor, don't stay at this so called resort.

We stayed in the tower and it was nasty from the time we pulled up. Dripping water from the balcony, broken glass in the parking lot. Musty room. Dirty patio furniture. Broken tub drain. I was appalled. And the pools...yuck. I had on goggles in the large main pool and the stuff I saw floating around made me sick to my stomach. I can only imagine how dirty the pool at the tower was. I will never ever stay here or recommend it. Horrible dirty hotel. And the bed and pillows were hard as a bricks. Only plus was the breakfast buffet.

We arrived around 4PM. The rooms in Caravelle Tower (626 was ours) are misrepresented on the website. The rooms are very dated and poorly designed. The furniture is old and worn out. This is my families first vacation to the beach in 3 years and this place is awful. Requested another room or upgrade and the second room is just as bad.

When I spoke with the manager she was very understanding and gave us another room, this one was in St. Clements 302, to try and it was smaller but a little better until we were getting the kids ready for bed and discovered that someone had urinated in the pull out couch. When we pulled the cushions out the smell was so strong it filled the entire room. The kids were really upset and understandably did not want to stay here any longer. By this time it was 9PM and I went to speak to the manager on duty again.

I requested a refund for the entire stay and the manager on duty was very understanding and offered me 2 options. To refund the entire stay or since it was so late I could try another room this time in Carolina Dunes (room 104). I choose to try the room because she was so understanding and it was late. This room was much better, but still designed poorly. It was cleaner and more spacious though.
By the time I moved all of our things it was about midnight and the kids were still a little nervous about sleeping after the urine incident.

In conclusion we arrived at 4PM and finally got settled in an acceptable room at 12 AM so our first day at the beach was a wash.If the manager and staff had not been so understanding I would have rated the Caravelle a 1 but because of them I gave it a 2.
