Do not even think about staying. It is a mess. You would be better of staying on the street. I think it must be the worst place on the beach. I do not know why tripadvisor would even list it. l think there is some kind of standard when you are on tripadvisor.

Trash and weeds greet you in the parking spaces. Dying caterpillars squirming on my room's floor greeted me when I entered room 19. Dead bugs and hair on the bathroom floor, dead bugs on the bathroom windowsill. A roach/water bug ran across the table when I picked up the telephone. Cigarette butts litter the public walking areas, cigarette butts in...

When I first moved there a year ago the place was fine and the owner Avi was nice as can be but I found out later why he was nice to the woman, its his way of getting them up to his room to have sex with him if they cant pay the rent, but they still have to pay...

I was shocked at the condition of the motel this visit. The dog park was full of small & large turds, the grass that had been in the center was now dirt with weeds a foot tall, & the large shady tree in the back now took over about 1/3 of the park area, requiring that benches be moved into...

My daughter booked 5 nights and only stayed one because they found 2 roaches in the room. The co-owner refused to refund their money for nights not stayed (he did give some money back) and told them one roach wasn't bad. My daughter is a single mother trying to give her daughter a vacation. They had to wait an hour...

We booked a room and decided not to stay once we got there because it appeared to be rundown. There were ashtrays and trash outside of the rooms and we could smell cigarette smoke. The pool was also closed for some reason.

Very nice and pet friendly place, each room is different with its own personality ,the manager is very thoughtful and cares about all his guest. Its not a fancy place but its very cozy and comfortable, they have a pizza shop there that makes the best pizza.

Stayed in April 2015; first trip to Myrtle Beach with 2 dogs (70 pounds each) and it was great for traveling on budget and being so close to the beach. Not upscale; not claiming to be nor priced to be. The owner works hard and everyone is friendly. Found character around every corner of the hotel; not glitz and glam....

The design and concept of this building is awesome, it is very unique and has a lot of charm, but...it needs some serious renovations, a housekeeping staff that actually knows how to clean, and really needs updating. The picture on the old tube televisions in the room was lousy, the remotes didn't work right, and some of the buttons on...

This was our third time at the Mariner. We like it because it is pet friendly. However, on this trip Avi chose to put us in cabin 4 which is right in the center of all the traffic of people coming and going. The people at the corner in front of our room decided to stay right in front od...
