Once again this chain of hotels disappoints in every way. I have spent 33 years traveling for business and have seen it deteriorate slowly. Now there are no amenities in the bathroom and there is no water in bottles to drink. This isn’t at just one location. This is at the big ones in many cities across the USA. This location could really be nice but even the phones are ancient. Only one restaurant was open in this location and limited hours.
This is the first time my family and I came to Myrtle Beach. Unfortunately we did not stay here at first, we stayed somewhere else but had to check out early because of the cleanliness. My sister and I booked this last minute to change hotels, and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The location and views were amazing! They were able to accommodate us with an early check in which we appreciated greatly. It allowed us to get the most out of our day out at the beach and the pool! The cleanliness was amazing! My family and I had dinner at Ocean 82nd on the hotel main lobby, and although there weren’t much people, the food was amazing! Everything from the appetizers to the main course. Our server Adil was great and friendly! The poolside bar and food was great as well! Overall, whenever we come back to Myrtle Beach, my family and I will be staying here! Thank you for a great experience!…
fanastic trip, great breakfast ( kay ), our favorite hotel each time we come, comfortable relaxing time. plently of restaurts close by ....waterway room was nice. got a free upgrade which made it more special
The staff were incredible! They also have a very clean establishment. The view of the beach is calming and the parking is very spacious. The pool is nice and they have a good quality restaurant on the main level.
This should be the only place for you to stay when you visit Myrtle Beach. Location alone, away from the cluster of hotels, tourist attractions should be reason enough. The grounds are gorgeous and secluded. Now the hotel itself. It really needs an update. Although the hotel is aesthetically pleasing on the outside, the inside screams renovation! The rooms are outdated, except for the bathrooms and the beds are very comfortable. Although, limited water pressure with the shower. The gift shop/coffee bar has so much potential. I feel like I stepped back into the 90’s. The lobby and bar needs an overhaul. The elevator always tells you how outdated the hotel is; the elevators are very old. So much potential to be easily a 5 star resort. I’ve stayed at some of the newer Marriott properties and they are fantastic. I hope over time they take some pages from that design book. However, the aesthetic gripes are not enough for you to stay away from this hotel. Pro’s still outweigh the Con’s. The location cannot be beat.…
Beautiful resort and getaway. Recent stay at the Marriott Grande Dunes and have no complaints. Off-season time so definitely much less crowded, but were able to enjoy the great views and resort amenities. Room was nicely appointed slightly on the smaller side for a resort room but upgraded nicely. Had a small balcony with 2 chairs and table and an amazing view of the resort and Atlantic Ocean. Nothing like the sound of the waves crashing to hear right off the balcony. The breakfast buffet at Oceans was great...and included as Platinum members (continental). Beach access is right off the property. Public beach, but need key access/wristbands at times to get to pool and resort area. Lots of hotels in the area but the Marriott Resort is well worth the few extra $ for the stay.…
We have been to this resort over 38 times in the past 18 years. Including about 13 times with 10 family members and in the past 5- 6 years renting 3 villas when our grandchildren became "growing teenagers". The facility is always clean, the staff always friendly, and always leaving happy to be Marriott owners.
Great hotel . The receptionist Laura was great, very courteous and professional and helpful. Very clean hotel. Lots of things to do in the area. Spectacular view. Looking forward to the next visit here and I’ll definitely be staying here.
Great location if you don’t want to stay beside all of the rest of the Myrtle Beach hotels and the ocean front restaurants. . Beach front is quiet and well maintained. Grounds were also well maintained. Multiple pools and hammocks. Upper patio area to enjoy the ocean view. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The spa was wonderful! The reasons I don’t give it 5 stars are that the room’s carpet was starting to show its wear, along with some of the paint on the doors. The room didn’t have a balcony. It had a fence-like barrier when you opened the sliding door. We had a partial ocean view but couldn’t hear the ocean because of the noisy air conditioner below. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive to the board walk. We would stay there again.…
Nice Marriott resort style hotel thats off the beaten path in Myrtle Beach. Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a wedding at the resort and had a pleasant stay. Resort wise it's very nicely maintained and features a nicely groomed beach, multiple pools, pool bar, 2 Resturants, and multiple venue rooms. The rooms were fairly standard marriott rooms but they were clean and my highfloor room had a great view. The wedding was nicely set up with the services taking place outside over looking the water. Cocktail hour was on the pool deck which the closed to the public. Food wise it was catering hall food, but the service was very good. The location is just north of the boardwalk which is nice as it's not as loud and crowded. Overall would definitely recommend if your looking for somewhere to stay while in Myrtle Beach! Enjoy.…
