Had a great weekend getaway in January at the beach. The new pool area looks exciting. We stayed in a Hilton condo it was clean, roomy, and updated. The shower was a bit small but the view was amazing.
I see a lot of people have had bad experiences here and I am a bit surprised. I think it comes down to the unit you are in. Some are older and dated with furniture from the 90's and I supposed that is a big turn off. But we stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that was called "23D West Hyde Park" and had a lovely time. You are able to ask for a particular unit if you know the one you want so we have stayed here twice. King Size bed in main bedroom and 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. A pull out sleeper sofa. Very clean. Terrace off the living room for morning coffee where you can look at the lake. A 4-5 minute walk to the beach. Two minute walk to the gym or tennis or pickle ball court or volley ball court. A very quiet courtyard and always a place to park since it is on the end not in the middle. Upstairs unit (11 steps or so) so it is always bright and sunny. Corner unit so lots of light. It had new carpeting and new table and chairs that sits 6 not 4. And you can use the kiddie water park for no fee at all. It really was a great stay. They even have a shuttle bus that will take you up to 4 or 5 miles for no charge. I think there are around 8 or 9 pools on the property. There are 2 restaurants, a pub and a pizza place on property. I can't say enough good things really.…
The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. We called Sunday for help with an internet issue and was told twice (after going up in person two times) they would send someone to help. No one came until Wednesday. We also had called to get some towels and sheets. Had to speak to a manager to get someone to finally bring up some and when they came, they only had a sheet with them. Very disappointed in staff interaction and help. Each time we spoke to someone, it was someone else’s fault when all we wanted was to have internet and clean sheets/towels. Very disappointed.
I've stayed at this resort multiple times, but this is my last and final time. I'm getting too old and the economy is getting too tight for me to play the "let's find suitable lodging" game when I check in at this resort. Each time I stay, I have to switch rooms a minimum of 3 times before finding accommodations that were updated in this century (this is no exaggeration). It's exhausting and brings frustration and anxiety for the start of a vacation. What has kept me coming back year after year is that I usually end up with a nice unit after the multiple changes, and the resort amenities and activities are nice. This last visit was the final for me as I consider how deplorable the conditions of the units were- I was insulted that Hilton would partner with these "owners of the individual units" and allow them to use the Hilton reservation system to book trash accommodations. Shame on you Hilton! I'm sure the units would be upgraded if Hilton had a standard of quality and cleanliness for the use of their reservation system. Ultimately, consumers have the power to drive change and establish standards for services. It starts with me and every person who refuses to let Hilton and these unit owners continue to capitalize and profit by peddling trashy accommodations. Our collective dollars and their absence can make a difference. If you're reading this and considering staying at this resort, you may have a pleasant experience and get a nice unit upon initial check in...how confident are you in your luck? …
Nice place for couples & families. Would definitely go back. Better than a hotel, almost like home away from home. First time staying in a resort condo/villa. Nice people on the property & shopping outlets very close
I have stayed at Kingston Plantation many times over the years. The property is lovely and offers many activities. You can access tennis courts, a volleyball area, a spa, a fantastic gym, and more. However, the condos are mostly a miss. The first condo I stayed in was stunning, with many high-end upgrades. However, each time after that I was disappointed. The 2nd time I stayed, the condo décor was dated, the water in the bathroom did not work, and it had a musty smell. The hotel moved me to another better condo but still not as lovely as the one I stayed in on my first visit. This last time I stayed, the hotel room was so dated I felt like I was at Motel Six ( no offense). I found a roach in my room, and the paint was chipping off the bathroom vanity. Not to mention, each time I stayed, there was a problem with the TVs. I have come to expect Smart TVs that allow streaming. My TV did not have a signal my entire stay this last time. The condos come with DVD/Blu-ray players. If you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head and not an atmosphere, Kingston Plantation is the place for you.…
You and your family always feel so safe. It is a gated community. There are so many things to do. You don't have to even go any where else if you don't want to. It is Very clean and the staff is always helpful. I highly recommend it!
On one hand, the location is great with ample parking and EV charging at the Enbeassy suites, where we check in. On the other, the condo tower is a walk around the pool and constrution site. Ice machines are located back at the Enbassy Tower. The Hilton website allows us to use the pool amenities. As far as free breakfast, we were not informed until our reservation was on the app that the condos were not included. This is considered a bait and switch form of false advertising which should be fixed on tbe website. We stayed in 507G, which has an individual owner. This was not up to Hilton standards. The room itself is dated. One lampshade should be replaced. It has a refrige and micro. The K cup machine was not working and water was still in the chamber. I brought my own K cups in reserve. What puzzles me is why in the world were coffee packs in the form for drip makers? Fortunantly a walk back to the Enbassy Tower had a breakfast counter…
Kingston Plantation condos are long in the tooth! Furnishings are minimal, closets no hangers, no soap for washer. They charge you to park in front of your condo $9 and change! Cable TV has no availability of APPS such as Netflix or Prime.
Stayed at the South Hampton booked through Hilton. This hotel is nasty, old, and very outdated. (80s furniture) I stayed on points, I recommend staying at the embassy( next door) the breakfast is amazing! I love their beach area but a HARD no staying at that location!
