Club Wyndham SeaWatch Resort is often commended for its immaculate atmosphere and extensive amenities that include multiple pools, hot tubs, and direct beach access, which are a hit among families. While the staff generally earns praise for being friendly and helpful, some guests have encountered less than satisfactory service. The resort's location is a highlight, conveniently situated near Myrtle Beach's attractions with scenic ocean views. However, opinions on the rooms and value vary, with some guests finding the rooms to be outdated and the resort not living up to its cost, mentioning additional fees and overbooking issues.

This was our first visit to Seawatch although we've been to Myrtle Beach several times before. We rented our room in the South tower through a private owner so our room was exactly what we expected. The way the building is built allows for many rooms to have wonderful views. We enjoyed having an oceanfront balcony that we could also view the pools and lagoon areas from. The grounds of the resort are beautifully landscaped and tropical. The beach access is great with 3 bridges over the dunes and onto the sand. We enjoyed having several pools to choose from especially when one was busy and we could move on to another. All parts of the resort and grounds were kept very clean. We had lunch and breakfast at the Captain's Cove, both were great. Breakfast seemed like a better value for us than the lunch but you can't beat eating overlooking the ocean and just steps from your room. The location of the resort was perfect. It was close to many shopping, entertainment and food options but yet felt secluded and private. Never had a problem parking each day and liked the parking garage to keep our vehicle out of the hot sun. Walmart was practically within walking distance which is very convenient. If you prefer Food Lion, it's not far away. We can't wait to visit Seawatch again, hopefully sooner than later!

The resort was located a 5-10 minute drive from many of the places we wanted to go. There is beach access to a great beach and the rinse off stations are located at each entry from the beach . There are 6 pools and hot tub with plenty of chairs. They offer a Tiki bar where we could order food. We were in Villa I which was clean and spacious. I wish they had an ice machine in the Villas for ours was broken in our unit and we had to run into the N/S towers for ice. Parking was great and lots of golf for the golf lover. We would go again.

My hubby and I stayed in a two bedroom unit, due to availability. The unit was cozy with a small, two person balconey, which was fine for the two of us. The balconey door wouldn't open due to a loose handle but we left it slightly ajar to avoid getting stuck again. The beds and pillows were comfy and the unit was cleaned well. We were in the setback building but could still see the ocean and pools. The restaurant was open for breakfast only in November so be prepared to bring lunch items or travel to rte 17 for restaurants. It would have been nice if they were open for lunch too. We enjoyed the many pools and hot tubs! The beach was beautiful and great for walking. The Apace pier is close by where You could fish or just take a stroll on for a nominal fee.

We will start with the rooms. We had great rooms on our two stays at this Wyndham resort. We enjoyed the views. We enjoyed being able to use their nice full kitchen and bar area. The bathrooms were super small spaces but we like each other so bumping into each other is not a huge deal for us. Bedroom was comfortable and had a nice ceiling fan above the bed. It even had a very very small balcony to step out onto to view the ocean. The room experience was great!

We did not utilize the pool but did access the ocean. It was super convenient access to the ocean. We were there in December with fairly mild temps but still to cool for the pool. Not our thing anyway, so for us this was not a big deal. It looked like a nice place to hang out in the warm weather.

So far all we have noted was super positive. Now for the not so positive areas. We are Diamond Members of the Wyndham Rewards club. We were able to use some points to pay down our room rate, however no room upgrades were given to us during a very slow time to stay there.

We actually waited three months to review this place waiting to see if they would honor their commitment to us to provide us additional points for sitting through their supposed hour long presentation to join their Club Wyndham. We were honest and told them up front we do not see the value for us in paying them to join their "Club". We stayed four hours each time nicely telling them we were not interested. We finally told them they have done a terrible job selling their Club and showing us any reason to purchase their high priced Club. Unfortunately, they got super crappy about us not buying. Making us feel like we were terrible for wasting their time. We were honest up front, they actually lied and wasted our time. Plus they did not deliver their inducement for our time.

The check-in is slow and not great. They act like they do not know the Rewards Club. They also funnel you through their Club representatives to get your parking permit. It is high pressured environment, so if that is not your gig this is not the place for you.

If you do stay here "Do not go through their presentation"! If your experience is like ours it will be painful! We do not mind high pressure, but no means NO! Plus you need to deliver on what is promised! This place did not do that for us. Shame on them! We would not recommend or EVER stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the suite and had an enjoyable stay. We appreciate your feedback regarding the sales presentation. This is not the kind of vacation experience that we want to provide for our guests, and it troubles us to hear that you had a negative experience with our sales staff. Your situation has been documented, and will be passed along to Resort Management to be looked into further.

There are many great places in MB, don't settle for Wyndham SeaWatch, especially if it is a trade through RCI. They have no respect for RCI trades and even charge an extra housekeeping fee if you are using RCI (and you still don't get housekeeping)! We were lied to about RCI being acquired by Wyndham and there was information we needed to hear from an expert. ugh! DO NOT do it! We were clear from the beginning that we weren't interested in purchasing a vacation ownership, we only wanted RCI information. And still we we were forced to sit though more than 2 hours of ridiculous sales information and high pressure. And even worse the extra free vacation they promised will cost more like $400-$500. Obviously we won't be doing that! We have been using RCI for 30 years and NEVER had this type of experience. Wyndham must be really desperate.

Having said all of that, the unit itself was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. We liked the convenient parking underneath (and didn't have to cross the street to park). Luggage carts were easily accessible. We had a slight ocean view but the sounds and smells of the ocean were drowned out by the pool noise and birds. There was barely anyone around so they could have easily given us a room with a better view which might have eased my frustration over the relentless sales pitch we endured. It is a shame that what could have been a nice stay was totally overshadowed by the unfair fees charged at check-in and high pressure sales.

After 8 months of Covid 19 isolation it was time to head out for a few days. Our requirements were minimal but we wanted a rental that had it's own washer and dryer so we could complete our own safety precautions and wash bed linen and towel. SeaWatch was perfect.
Check in was easy and our 2 bedroom apartment was perfect. According to SeaWatch documents, they wait for three days before rebooking an apartment - all part of Covid 19 Safety.

We visited Seawatch 5 times in 2019 and paid over $4000. Last visit was over New Years. The first night was spent in a room with no A.C. and the overnight temperature was 75. The next day, maintenance stated that we were in a room that was not supposed to be rented. We spent over an hour of our vacation packing and moving to another room. The dead bolt lock in the next room did not work. We reported to the front desk, but no repairs made. We did not bother to report that most of the burners on the stove did not work, as no one ever responded to the broken dead bolt. We had to sleep with a chair wedged under the door knob each night. When we were there in November, we had an overflowing toilet and had to use all our towels to clean up the water on the floor. Don’t know why the toilet was overflowing, but never got maid service or clean towels. Gad to go to the front desk to get clean towels the next day so we could shower, but never got maid service. We have stayed here for many years, but seems to be going downhill.

My family stayed here in April 2021. The two bedroom apartment was nicely appointed and furnished with modern furnishing and fittings. Everything need was provided in the bedrooms and kitchen. They even provided packets to make popcorn and lemonade which made my 11 year very happy. The grounds and pools are clean and well maintained with several staff members constantly keeping the grounds clean. There are several pools and hot tubs spread around the resort so it never felt crowded. On one day they even had free sundae. The location is convenient and has stores and restaurant close by but yet feels secluded and quiet. We have been coming to Myrtle beach for over 20 years and this place was the best place we have stayed so far.

The resort has taken lots of steps to be safe. It is not overly crowded and they are putting obvious effort into keeping the resort cleaned. As far as hotels/resorts go, I imagine from a COVID perspective it is about as good as it gets. Lots of pools so people are not piled on top of you and the elevators are not crowded.

Lots of the activities they usually have are not happening now. We do miss the turtle races, but I am sure they will all be back as soon as they can do it safely.

All in all, traveling now is scary for lots of people, but this resort seems much safer than going to the grocery store or Walmart.

They may call any of those deluxe. The two high rises are not the timeshare buildings. The on-site restaurant is also in one of these. We like Seawatch for the units, plus they are convenient
