Paradise Resort garners praise for its ample amenities, including a variety of water features and its strategic location near local attractions. The resort's cleanliness is consistently lauded, with guests appreciating immaculate rooms and pool areas. Staff at the resort are celebrated for their friendly and helpful demeanor, ensuring efficient and warm service.
While the atmosphere receives mixed reviews due to a recent remodeling, the Tiki bar adds a unique touch. Room renovations have drawn some criticism for noise, yet the generous room size is a plus. Great people who are there to guarantee you have a care free stay. Always available and they actually check to see if you are having a great time. Our room was spacious, more of an apartment and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The best advice I can give is come and visit! You will not be disappointed!

We've been coming for 15 years. We love Paradise, but we noticed this year, our condo had exceptional wear and tear. I'm not sure if that's due to me fighting for a lower price when I first booked (verses what was sent to me via email), so retaliation, or if all the rooms are beginning to look like this. We had room 1404. The Murphy bed had a missing mirror, and one of the legs was broken. The dishwasher was rusting out (still works). The cabinets all had obvious wear and tear, and the walls had obviously been patched and painted many times. The ice maker in the freezer didn't put out ice like we had experienced in previous units, on previous years. The ceiling fan in the bedroom did not work, the ceiling fan in the living room looked like it was going to fly off upon being turned on. The light at the entrance door burned out a couple of days into our week plus stay (easy fix). We love Paradise, but we're disappointed in the room this year. We also noticed the elevator floors. We've seen the resort experiment with different flooring, and it appears none have worked. This year, a rubber mat was placed over the damaged, existing flooring. It's noticeable. Your senior staff at the Tiki Bar, and Sandals, continue to make our trips enjoyable. We look forward to seeing April, Derrick and Jaynere every time. Antonio and Jason are great additions to that team. Overall, will we return, yes (during winter). The overall price of a 1 bedroom condo is getting out of sight for a dated, broken room. The kicker is the 24.95 a day 'housekeeping fee' a person can't opt out of, the 11 dollar a day 'resort fee', and a 4 dollar a day 'city marketing fee.' The average night cost was 119 dollars, and then tack on 40 a night on top of that. Almost 160 a night per room.

Thank you for the feedback. It's unfortunate that the condition of the condo did not meet your expectations, especially considering your longstanding history of visiting us. We are glad that our team members at the Tiki Hut continued to make your trip enjoyable. Our management team will be looking into the issues you had with the condo to try and find solutions. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you in the winter.

We stayed at Paradise again the last week of September and had a great time. We are a family of 6 (grandma, 2 adult daughters, 3 granddaughters ages 8, 10, and 13) and the 3 bedroom condo works the best for us. The price is an excellent value. The amenities were great (grandkids loved the pool), the restaurant has a nice breakfast buffet and the restaurant staff are very friendly and remembered us from last year. Was hoping that Ben and Jerry’s would have been open but it wasn’t. Having a complete kitchen to cook meals helps us save some money so that we could go out and do other things and having a dishwasher makes cleanup not so bad. Having a washer and dryer is great so that we don’t have to pack as much and don’t have to take home dirty clothes. The balcony off of my bedroom was awesome. Waking up and having my coffee overlooking the ocean is the best feeling in the world. The location is great, the quiet south end of Myrtle. We stayed in the same condo as last year, on 2nd floor so that we could park by the entrance and be right at our door. The room itself is getting a little dated and could use new furniture, but it is very clean and no bugs. My bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable but the other beds could use new mattresses (one bed was still not completely fixed from the previous year). Regardless, this was our 4th or 5th time staying here and are looking forward to staying again next year.

Room is small 1 bedroom with 2 beds and a pull out sofa not a 2 bedroom with 4 beds as advertised. The couch and fold out beds are for kids not adults. When asked to switch Mangment could care less. If you advertise and sell a 2 bedroom you should honor it and not put adults in fold out sofas

I've stayed at many places in MB, but this one is by far my favorite. Their snowbird rates can't be beat, you just have to stay at least 28 days. No problem! I have an oceanfront one-bedroom condo with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, with a sofa bed and a Murphy bed in the living room. The facility is well kept up, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the water features can't be beat. There are 2 hot tubs, a swimming pool, and a lazy river indoors, and another pool outside. They have a breakfast restaurant and give you a 20% discount and free coffee with the snowbird rate. Housekeeping comes in once a week. This place is south, closer to the Myrtle Beach and Huntington Beach state parks, Murrels Inlet, and Brookgreen Garden, all places I love. I got an annual pass to the state parks ($99) so can go as often as I want (and it's also transferrable so other people can use it). For a bird/alligator watcher, this is ideal. The airport is 4 minutes away for guests who are flying down to join. Parking is on-site and free. Plenty of grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I can't recommend this place enough!

We have stayed at this property before and were very pleased. Staff are pleasant and the Sandals is perfect for breakfast.
We stayed again at this property, this time for four days. When I got home last week, I checked my bill and we were charged $24.95 per day for housekeeping, which we never experienced. I made our bed everyday and the one time housekeeping came in, they dropped off clean towels and nothing else. Trash was not emptied, no refill on the coffee service or anything else. I had to find the housekeeper and ask for extra toilet paper and soap. I don't mind making the bed or cleaning the room, but I don't think I should be charged $24.95 a day. I called and spoke with Ross who said he would have Janet call me, but that was last week and no one as yet has called.

When we first arrived in our room the air conditioning was broken. The front desk did not hesitate to have someone come fix it. The silverware and appliances were dirty and had caked on food on them. It felt disgusting to even eat with them. I ended up purchasing disposable plates and silverware to use. One suggestion I feel should be made is a child type lock for the balcony door. There were numerous times where my son kept trying to get out the balcony door. It sometimes scared me half to death. Even though I watch him like a hawk it still has an unnerving feeling.

Thank you for sharing some comments about your stay with us, MegannB1985. I am glad to hear maintenance quickly took care of the issue with your air conditioning. I deeply apologize that the silverware and appliances were not up to the high standard we set for ourselves at Paradise Resort. Please know that your feedback is valued, and I will forward your suggestion for child-safe sliding glass door locks to our chief engineer. We hope to see you the next time you decide to visit Myrtle Beach. Best Regards, Steven

Condos need to be remodeled for the amount they ask for a weekly rental. Needs more daily entertainment for kids and families. Most days we had to ask for bath towels to be replenished as well as toilet paper. We stopped going yearly because prices went up each year and nothing had changed in what we got, and service wasn’t as good as previous years.

Booked for a night on a roadtrip down to Florida with friends; just needed a night but were pleasantly surprised at the value and space offered at this resort. Great beds, very clean and lov d the pool area just a stones throw from the beach. Shame we couldn’t stay longer but found this stay excellent value, even for our NZ $$ (.60c to the US$1). Would certainly recommend

This was our 1st visit to Myrtle Beach. We were part of large group but we all booked independently. This was pretty much what I expected. The hotel location is south of the main attractions so be prepared to drive or Uber. That also keeps you out of the majority of the traffic in Myrtle Beach which is a good thing. We had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen and laundry on the 15th floor. The view from the room was amazing. The room was relatively clean and functional. The laundry was a life saver. The rooms could use an update of furniture and appliances. There was some rust on the appliances but this place is right on the ocean and things will rust quickly. Due to COVID(?) there was no room cleaning during our stay but we did get fresh towels and the trash removed daily. Wear masks and clean the rooms daily please. The pool area was decent and beach access was easy. Parking in the garage is better for cars than trucks or SUVs, we parked in the lot across the street. As others have noted the elevators could use some work, a couple of rides made me wonder if we were going to make it. Spongy floors and lots of shaking and shimmying. Overall, an average place to stay but if we ran into a bug situation like others had this review would be a lot more negative. We will consider staying here again if in the area in the future.
