So this was a first for me, but the hotel told us soap was on request only. When we arrived into the hotel I used the bathroom and went to wash my hands and then noticed I didn’t have any soap in the room so I went to the maid cart in the hall and said it seemed my room didn’t get soap. The maid informed me the hotel was out of soap and she had none but I could try the front desk. I called the front desk asking if someone could run some up. She told me they could not, but I could come down and get some as they had bought “a couple of bars.” So because I couldn’t wash my hands I touched multiple surfaces, elevator buttons, etc. right after using the restroom before I could get a bar of soap from the front desk. I asked the front desk why they weren’t putting any soap in any rooms and she said, “Oh we didn’t get our soap order so we’re doing it by request only.” This seems pretty inexcusable in the middle of a pandemic as multiple guests who didn’t get soap are just touching every surface in the hotel spreading germs all over after going to the bathroom, showering without soap, etc. A friend in another room after asking the maid cart and being told there was no soap showered with just a little thing of conditioner as that was all she had in the room to use. It’s just incredibly unsanitary and ridiculous especially for the amount The hotel charges. A bar of soap seems a pretty minimal request and it took heaven and Earth to get a bar and even then the front desk didn’t have enough packs for the entire hotel. So because soap wasn’t provided that means multiple guests were touching multiple surfaces, desks, tv remotes, etc. without washing their hands spreading germs like E Coli especially all over the desks and surfaces where guests bring back food to eat. It’s just incredibly disgusting and very cheap of the hotel to disregard basic sanitary room needs like soap to save a quick buck when the profit of one room is enough to go to a store and buy 100 bars of soap, enough to stock the entire hotel, and put them In the room. I mean Dollar Tree even sells soap. Just crazy to me. I’d skip this hotel if you like cleanliness. Try the Super 8, even they provide soap for their guests. When a Crowne Plaza has less amenities than a Super 8 you know you don’t want to stay there.

We were given a stay because our flight had been cancelled. Our flight. the next day was not until 5 pm. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bed. The food was good in the restaurant and the service in both bar and restaurant was exceptional.. Having travelled to over 60 countries and stayed at countless establishments you occasionally come across someone who stands way above the norm. Tiffany was that person at the Crowne Plaza. She was efficient, helpful, and pleasant even though it was obvious she was quite busy. People like Tiffany tip the scale and make a good stay a great one.She is such an asset to the hotel.

Upon check in around 1pm there were no rooms available to be checked into. We left to go do other things & came back to a room that had NO TOWELS! We were getting out of the shower noticing that & called front desk from our CELL PHONES since the room phone didn’t even work!! She took over 30 minutes to get to us so we had to dry off with hand towels instead! No apology or anything. The next day we pack our things as we’re leaving and I’m in the shower as the maintenance people decide to barge into the room not even knocking or waiting to see if there were people inside! How disgusting & rude & to top off being rushed out of the room we left our Bluetooth speaker. I unfortunately was on the drive home to Nc but I called immediately within less than an hour advising the issue & was told there was nothing they could do & that I have to call back later. Trust if I was there I would’ve addressed that housekeeper that I saw before we left on our floor myself!! After calling non stop all day for a week i ask for corporates number & I got transferred to speak to the front desk manager i believe his name was Mike/Chris and he advised he was never even informed of my issue! Another shock and he tells me he will investigate & call me back. I have never heard any word or anything from these people since. I ended up filing a report with BBB & that didn’t even work! I know how the game works & they stole it & just didn’t want to tell me that they couldn’t find it. I ended up just saying forget it & filed a police report. I expect nothing more from such a unprofessional establishment that doesn’t even have decent customer service. Typical hotels will file reports within their hotel & get corporate involved. No support was given to me at all. The only reason for the 1 star is because of the guy bartender/server who was absolutely amazing to us & made our stay welcome for the time being. IHG hotels are cheap & it shows by this experience so I will continue staying at Hilton brands as I’ve never had anything close like this happening before

We had early flight out next day and picked the Crown for location originally. It looks more modern inside than it does from the outside. Very nice staff and GREAT bar area. Very spacious and lots of people but everyone social distanced. Our room was very nice however it could have been cleaner in the bathroom. The corners have been overlooked for some time and I'm not a neat freak but it did bother me. Otherwise overall really nice stay! BTW VERY close to the airport!

When I first walked in I thought, O this is nicely decorated and modern. Love the frig in the room. But after setting up my things in the bathroom I noticed a large round moldy area on the bathroom ceiling. And LOTS of mold all around the shower. Then I had placed the bath mat down n front of the sink, looked down and saw black dirt all over it that wasn’t there when I put it down. The black was from my feet where I had walked barefoot on the carpet in the room. Whoever they’ve hired to “clean” this place just doesn’t clean. Although the sheets appear to be clean, the blanket on one of the beds looked to have blood stains on it near the top. Just absolutely disgusting, I will NEVER be back. Please go somewhere else.
