My husband and I stopped here for a night after a trip to the keys on our motorcycle. It was a clean neat room and staff was very helpful. When we got home the next day and I unpacked, I realized I was missing my iPad. Needless to say, I panicked thinking I would never see it again. We called everyplace we stayed along the way, and it was found in our room here- and turned in to management!! My thanks to the housekeeper and all involved. Needless to say, you can rest easy here knowing you will be well cared for.
location is everything. my main reason for deciding to stay here was it's a comfortable walk to the North Charleston coliseum/stingrays hockey. only about 15 minutes/1 mile. so thankful i didn't have to deal with the traffic in and out of the game. there's a Waffle House and two convenience stores immediately next door if you need them, even tho the city of Charleston is full of great local breakfast spots. I liked it even more when I walked inside. the hallways are decorated with framed paintings by local artist Jim Booth. nice bathroom, granite sink, walk in shower with granite walls and a sliding glass door. everything was very clean in the room, as well as the entire building. lastly, you can sit outside and watch airplanes take off from nearby Charleston International Airport, like the Gary Allan song. thanks for a great place to spend the night. will be back soon, I'm sure. …
The building and grounds were in great shape. Though it was near the Interstate, it was quiet. The staff were friendly and responsive. The linens and towels were either stained or had not been cleaned. We had to ask to have them replaced. The hall, room, and especially the closet were musty. Breakfast was disappointing, though the eggs were excellent, no fruit or oatmeal was available.
I came in and visited at the end of October upon check-in the young gentlemanfront desk clerk, darpin I do believe what's his name, was very racist and insulting. He also told me that prostitutes were not allowed to be staying at that hotel. I am far from a prostitute I work for BMW I've been Greenville South Carolina. But he had assumed that he put it according to my attire that I wore that I was one. I don't see just anybody staying there can I definitely definitely will not refer this hotel to anybody else.Mrs Lucy and Miss Lily we're actually the only two that were courteous and very respectful. They also always had a smile on their face and was willing to help
wo stars is being kind and the only reason it gets that is the pool was decent and the rooms were a good size. From the second we walked in the atmosphere was awful. The person who checked us in was rude and was irritated when I questioned why I was being charged additional money. She said it was for “incidental” fees. We went to our room and started to load up the fridge and went to my down and the bed was covered in human hair: to the point you would have seen it when putting the sheets on. I went back downstairs and requested new sheets she kept asking if we wanted a different room and I kept saying no I want clean sheets. We’ve been on the road I just want to lay down. I was given to top sheets so I had to proceed back upstairs to pick all of the hair out of the bottom sheet so we could put new top sheets on since I guess clean bottom sheets weren’t being given out. The first morning we went down to eat breakfast and the biscuits were hard and the juice was so watered down we had to go get different food. What’s the point of staying somewhere with breakfast if it’s not edible. The second morning we were there I woke up charges on my cc for the hotel. We again went to the front desk and we were told it was more “incidental” fees. No! You already charged me those fees. My cc company didn’t approve the charges so that was helpful. The gentleman at the front desk just kept saying they’re incidental fees it’ll be fine. No, you shouldn’t be making charges that aren’t authorized. The final straw was when we returned from a wedding at 1:30am to find not one but two semi truck cabs taking up the last 8 parking spots at the hotel leaving none of the guests anywhere to park. I proceeded to the front door of the hotel to find it locked. A gentleman came to the window, I told him about the trucks and he said there’s nothing I can do I tried to call them you’ll have to park somewhere else. We had to park quite a distance away and leave our vehicle in another hotels lot and walk at now almost 2am to a hotel that we paid to stay at. At checkout the woman behind the counter didn’t even ask how our stay was. Just don’t do it if you can avoid it. I’ve reached out the corporate number but they’re unsure if I’ll hear from anyone regarding this matter. Unless it’s a final option do yourself a favor and steer clear.…
