While I knew having a pet friendly room wouldn’t yield the finest rooms they offer, but it was gross. The floor had large dried liquid spots all over it. I kept telling myself it was just dried up water. If they are going to charge a fee and a deposit, use those deposits to buy a carpet cleaner or something!
It also smelled like smoke.
Area seemed nice. We had drinks at Ruby Tuesday which wasn’t much better, but I’m sure the pandemic is still to blame there.

Although the hotel states that they are COVID certified, I did not see a single staff member, or many guests wearing masks. The hand sanitizer at the front desk was also empty. If they cannot follow these simple overt precautions I find it hard to believe they are following the more behind the scenes precautions such as proper room disinfecting. This made for a very uncomfortable stay. As a side note the staff was very friendly and promptly addressed the few problems we had. The rooms are a little dated and could probably use an update.

Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry to hear that you feel as you do. The Governor of South Carolina has rescinded the mask mandate. Several members of the staff "do" wear mask. We do not require guests to wear mask, but we do make mask available at the front desk for those who may choose to wear one (they sit atop of the cookie display). There are sanitizing stations all over the building. Sometimes, a station may run out. It is replenished as soon as we become aware of it. We sanitize all of the common areas six times a day. We also follow strict brand standards with our room cleaning procedures. As a matter of fact, we go above brand requirements. I understand that Covid has made for many uncomfortable situations, however we do our best to protect our staff and guests alike. Thus far (Thanks be to God) we have been successful. Thank you, for the feedback.

They let us check the room out before checking in. Checkin was friendly! Room was great, it was clean, bed was comfy pillows were to our liking. We have a dog, and got a ground floor room. Breakfast, this is where the rating gets hit. Breakfast is until 9:30, 8:10 there was no more eggs, sausages were not great and the home fries looked questionable being orange in color. What can I say, Great place to lay your head after a day of driving in torrential rains and tornado warnings.

The positives: the ladies at the front desk.Very friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you. The negatives :We had driven a long way and were very tired. The room was shabby and in desperate need of attention. To the owner Raj Patel please do not respond with the standard response you have been posting for over a year that is to say that you will notify housekeeping. As a couple that travels to many countries this hotel and your repeated response to customers is disgraceful. Repeatedly customers report broken furniture, filthy carpets; broken lamps.
Our room had filthy carpets; a sliding closet door that had been removed from the tracks and propped up against the clothes rail…..a definite safety issue. Stains and holes on the couch. Dirty socks left on a closet shelf. Peeling paint and broken furniture. As others have described the front of the property leads you to believe the interior will match. Nothing can be further from the reality that lies within. The hotel in general is shabby. Dirty elevators; worn and stained carpets. Nothing has been replaced or renovated in years. The responsibility belongs one hundred per cent with you Mr. Patel. I am extremely surprised that you are allowed to continue trading.Your establishment is unsafe and a health hazard. I will endeavour to make a report to the appropriate personnel.

I've stayed here twice - the staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and it's very quiet. If there's a problem, the staff will immediately address it. I stayed here when I was visiting Congaree National Park - for visitors to the Park it's in a convenient location.

I arrived to find a deserted front desk in the middle of the day. After about 10 minutes, I called out, “Hello” and a person named Chantel appeared from the back room. With a sarcastic undertone, she checked me into a filthy one bedroom suite. There was a glob of some type of matter on the window, the front of the tub had a big crack in it, the floors and walls were filthy, stains on the TV stand and end table. When I complaint, Chantel told me I could come and get a new key, and if I didn’t like the new room, she could help check me out of the hotel. When I questioned her about this, she claims it was a directive from the corporate office. Thanks to manager Asteria for addressing my concerns and resolving the issues caused by this unprofessional customer service agent. 😳

We find this to be a great location for our route and staff is always helpful. Breakfast area is large and pleasant with a nice selection of food. We always ask for a quiet room and end up on the top floor- end of hall - which we like. There is a Cracker Barrel next door and other restaurant choices nearby.

A delightful stay. Property clean, neat and the staff the friendliest ever! Room/bathroom were spotless and nicely appointed. Plenty of towels, crisp sheets, not a thing out of order.
Breakfast to excellent and consisted of individually wrapped scrambled eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage patties, fresh fruit, hot coffee, waffles, pastries, assorted cereals, yogurt, etc. and everything was made there in their own kitchen - nothing pre-made, frozen and then thawed.
Cannot say enough about this property and will definitely stay again when in the Orangeburg, SC area.

Stopped here on the way to HHI. It is a little older motel. Room color is dated, but rooms are neat and very clean. We had a problem with a smoke detector that wouldn't turn off. The maintenance man was unavailable but a lady working the front desk helped us. The breakfast had a selection of hot and cold items. The staff made certain empty serving dishes were refilled.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The mattress had blood on it , this was at the head of the bed, sheets brown, Dollar Tree pillows had brown circles on them, spots on the pillow cases, The carpet looked like it had not been cleaned since it was built. There was one young lady at the check in desk when I arrived close to midnight. We checked in got our keys and left before going to the room to check it out. Approximately and hour later we return only to find another young lady at the desk and she was the only one there. She had to leave the front desk to bring linen to our rooms, she stated she was the only one there. She stated she could not move us to another room because they had not room available. We had just traveled 2 1/2 hours from a wedding to attend a convention being held in Orangeburg the next morning. Feces stains still in the commode.
