Everything appeared to be clean but the room had a very musty smell. Soap dispenser in the shower was empty and never filled during our stay. Clean towels were left each morning but the used towels were left hanging on the back of the door. The older lady (never got her name) in the breakfast area was great, really stays on top of things. The bed was really comfortable!

I dropped my wife at church for Saturday evening mass and then checked in at the Best Western. The woman behind the counter did thank us for being Diamond Elite members, gave us a small goodie bag, but then asked for an ID, stating she also would have to see my wife's ID after I picked her up from church. Very strange, as in 2021, Mother's Day week, we had no such encounter.
With the exception of the evening desk clerk, the other staff members were wonderful. In particular, Shawn was still there as the morning desk clerk, happy and friendly as always, and Cynthia still ran the breakfast room, making certain everyone had what they needed and being ever so friendly.
Our requested extra blanket already was in the room, 107, but other than that, the room was in bad need of an update. The rug was frayed in several areas. The room heater when on heat soon began to throw the smell of urine into the room. (Oddly, in the morning, it did not do that when I turned it on for heat). The unit either needs cleaning or the filters changed. The floor lamp looked as if someone had thrown up on it. See my photo. The toilet was not bolted properly to the floor and leaned badly when used. The bathtub filled with water while taking a shower. An hour later when checking out, the water still had not drained. I reported both the toilet problem and drain to the front desk.
Internet speeds measured rather well. Sink water pressure was good and the shower was fair. The only towel bar was a short one for the hand towel. Not that we used it, but there was only one Styrofoam cup for a hot drink in the room and only one each pod of tea, coffee and decaf. Breakfast was the usual buffet style and the coffee was fair.

Clean room, good breakfast, good value, friendly staff. We really enjoyed the area outside the breakfast where we were able to have family game night and watched a movie. Front desk staff was very accommodating, due to some bad weather we weren't able to what we planned before check-in but stopped in anyway, knowing it was too early and they checked us in right away.

This was our third time staying at this hotel and it did not disappoint. It is at the beach but not on the beachfront. We were about 1.5 miles away. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and the employees are all friendly. From the front desk staff, to the kitchen, to the room attendants all were polite and accommodating. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was great, the room was clean, AC worked great too, and ice machines worked as well. Overall, the hotel was a little on the quieter side which worked just fine with us! We will definitely be back!! :)

We stayed four days and on the last night we realized that housekeeping did not leave clean towels. When we went to the front desk to ask for towels they said none were available, and they could not take any out of vacant rooms because they may get a guest. Really?? I’m a current guest and I can’t take a shower? That’s just not acceptable.

My room on first floor was not safe. Specifically, the bathroom was dangerous. The safety grab bar in the shower/bath was connected to the wall only on one end. The other end was rusty and not connected to the shower wall. Had I slipped and grabbed it it would have completely sheared off of the wall and one could be seriously injured by falling and or being wounded on the sharp edges. The safety bar’s condition was more dangerous because of the extremely slippery tub bottom. In addition both the bathroom sink and the toilet drained very slow. Luckily I was only at this hotel for one night. I certainly will not return to this property.

This was a great experience overall, with great staff. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Cynthia. She was the sweetest. Even though it wasn't directly on the beach, we could get to the beach within a couple of minutes. Several beach accesses within 5 minutes or less of the hotel. For the price and convenience of this hotel, definitely would recommend. It does have a outdoor pool, but we were at the beach mostly, so we didn't use the pool. But that would be a bonus, especially for kids. The internet was fast, breakfast had several options, including individual wrapped items which were perfect for on the go or to take to the beach. Rooms were overall great as well.

We had to move rooms at 11:00 pm the first night to accommodate a handicapped individual. I don't mind the accommodation of an individual as much as the fact that they blamed the error on a computer glitch. Then I explained that computers compute what humans input. (mind-blowing)
The New room had one towel. I asked for another towel and there seemed to not be a spare towel in the entire motel at first. After meeting with the GM an extra towel appeared. They were nice enough to discount our room a little ($50) - we paid almost $200/night.
Won't be staying there again. I have stayed in worse places and I have stayed in way better. As I said, step up your game or decrease your price. Not worth what we paid even with the "discount".

Chose this area, quiet ‘ a hidden gem’ only stayed for a night coming from Charleston going to visit Murrells inlet . This hotel was very clean, friendly hotel staff to register us. Gave us good information for place very close to eat. Beach is beautiful, quiet. The complimentary breakfast very well stocked, very clean and food was hot. Coffee always there anytime complimentary. We had a little dog with us, (great traveler). Would highly recommend and I chose this from prior positive reviews I read.

Checked in 4 guests, our room had two shower towels. I went fo the lobby to ask for more. I was told they had none and was instructed to use hand towels for showers. The following morning housekeeping knocked on our door to try to take the two shower towels we had..... ultimately, we used the two towels, and the flat sheets off the bed to dry off.....

We have two beaches in our area. One is Pawleys Island which is an actual Island and it has a North and South entrance which is about a mile and 1/2 from our hotel. We also have Litchfield Beach that is located North of our hotel and it is within a mile of our hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Pawleys Island area.
