I have stayed at Seaview over 8 times in the last 25 years. It is the place for those who don't want commercialization, or tacky motel rooms with a huge TV set. It's for those of us who want to relax and enjoy the beach, conversation with guests or just a good book. Nothing at Seaview has changed in the...

I stayed 6 nights a Sea View with a small group of friends. The inn is a pure delight. With the marsh out one door and the sea out the other, it is like being in a watery heaven. The staff was kind, the food was good and plentiful, and the inn is like something out of of a simpler...

The place has a certain charm, like visiting your grandmother, if she charged you $300 plus extras per night and didn't clean her bathrooms. Unfortunately, the island's answer to beach erosion has been to construct jetties every block or so. Sad for the long-time residents, but there are better beaches to the north and south. The Sea View advertises that...

The historic Sea View Inn at Pawleys Island, SC, is a wonderfully relaxing place to enjoy the beach whether with family, friends, or just you. If you are looking for modern amenities and lots of privacy, this is not for you. There is no air conditioning in the main inn, just sea breezes. The inn, rebuilt in the 1950's after...

As a Pawley's veteran, I'm all for "shabby chic," but the Sea View Inn uses the term "chic" pretty loosely. The location is fantastic, but the service was awful. I reserved the room and choice not to do the meals...no problem I was told. When we arrive after multiple explanations we still weren't doing the meals, and only having our...

If you want to unplug, this is the place. Nothing to do but eat, sleep, swim and read [from their big library of good reads]; a wonderful casual environment. Barefoot to dinner! if you like. I woke early one morning and tip-toed downstairs to sleep on the porch hammock until sunrise. Truly a retreat that feels like being at the...

This was our first time at the Sea View Inn. The long porch and the beautiful location sells the Inn. The relaxed barefooted company was a welcome change from the usual resort crowd. Three meals a day included in the room price and it was a relief not to think about where and what to eat. The room was extremely...

We all sat on that wonderful ocean front porch until they rang the bell for dinner. This is the first time I had ever had Shrimp and Grits. It was SO DELICIOUS and . . . they make the best Sweet Tea! Then we all went into the family room to hear the wonderful Lee Brockington stories. Some of the...

This is arguably my favorite spot anywhere on the Southeastern coast of the United States. Rocking in the chair on the back porch, taking in the sea breezes and watching the waves roll in on a relatively uncrowded beach is a existential experience. The Seaview Inn is such a unique experience that some description is warranted. The rooms are the...

If you want lasting memories, if you want your hear rate lowered, come here. If you want to reconnect with someone come here, if you want to hearthe ocean, or an impending thunderstorm, come here. If you don't mind meeting. Ew interesting people and families come here. If you like having three meals provided for you every day come here....
