A group of us stayed in several "villas," 2- or 3-bedroom cabins that were very clean, spacious, modern, and delightful. Though the park was booked all weekend, we never felt that it was overcrowded. There are multiple boat launches, beaches, and placed to watch water and birds. The water was clear and clean. The walking trails were well-maintained, and the...

This park offers many activities for families to experience nature at it's finest. The cascading Blue Ridge mountains meet the sparkling clear waters of lake Jocassee at Devils Fork State Park. Camping, hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, playgrounds, geocaching, and numerous waterfalls along the shoreline are some highlights of the activities you can enjoy at this park. Rental kayaks and boats...

Jocassee is a wonderful, undeveloped lake that one can find a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. We have camped in the campground and wanted to try to villas. We found our villa extremely clean with all the basic needs supplied from a start on soap, TP, to plenty of towels, and items needed for cooking. We have already booked a couple of...

Very nice state park. The campsites were nice, clean, spacious and close to the lake! No Sewer hookups but they do have water and electricity. The bath house was close by, which was convenient. Very quite and shady! Nice paved trails that lead to the lake. We rented kayaks and went out on Lake Joceesee....omg the water is crystal clear....

We had tent lot 16 which is very wooded right on the lake with beautiful views and clear water for swimming. The site is a 5 min walk from the parking lot so you need a wagon or will take many trips bringing your stuff to the side. The site has a tent pad, a fire ring, a picnic table,...

Great trailer camp sites, very nice boat ramps, and a BEAUTIFUL lake with many water falls, swimming and hiking areas. Plan weeks ahead as it is very busy. All park employees and volunteers are EXCEPTIONALLY happy and helpful. A most see lake even if only for one day. This is Lake Jocassee. Camp sites are large and have easy access....

We spent four relaxing days at Devils Fork State Park. The villas are beautiful with all the amenities of home...satellite TV, free wifi, dishwasher, charcoal grill. Linens, towels and kitchen utensils/plates are provided. And the views from the screened-in porches are spectacular! Also the villas have a private boot ramp that can only be accessed by villa guests with a special...

This IS a typical State Park as far as set ups go. We have a small RV, and the pads are paved and pretty level. The STAR of this state park is the lake. We went for New Year's. Yes it was chilly, but not winter-cold. But I've been there in July as well. I cannot STRESS enough: Rent a...

We spent the night in a villa(upscale cabin). It was very nice. 2 bedroom, full kitchen, living room with fireplace, screened back deck overlooked the lake. Clean and well appointed. It would have been a great place to spend a week. Unfortunately, it was raining when we were there so we didn't see much of the grounds. I would like...
