The location on Hwy 17 was good for getting around and doing business without getting stuck in the tourism traffic, yet I could go out the back of the property and walk through a residential neighborhood to the beach. Best of both worlds! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfortable. Teresa, the manager, was amazing. She remembered guest names and made each person feel valued.

We were satisfied with our stay. Great location outside of Myrtle Beach, very handy for beaches, dining, shopping. They had an accessible room as requested. They seemed to be having supply issues though. Free breakfast was just OK - waffle makers, oatmeal, yogurt, sausage, cold cereal - but no eggs, no bread of any kind (or toaster). There was no non-decaf coffee available for the inroom coffeepot, but coffee machine was always available in the breakfast area. They were having staffing issues too, so housekeeping was spotty.

My husband, two sons and I stayed here for Mother's Day weekend. It was one of the cheaper hotels in the area and worked fine for what we needed. The room was clean and the employees were polite. It's no 5 star hotel but it works fine for a place to stay.

Blood on sheets!!!
This hotel is a complete mess! I checked into the hotel and was put onto the second flood room 201. I pulled the covers back and found blood on the sheets. I walked down the flight of stairs to the front desk because the hotel does not have an elevator down to the front desk and asked the attendant to have our sheets changed because of the blood. He then handed us new sheets expecting us to change them ourselves. I requested a new room instead… the second room was also not cleaned, as there was mold on the ceiling, a broken shower curtain and cashew nuts and spaghetti on the floor! At this point I had enough and went down to the front desk again to ask for my Diamond Hotel points back that I used to book the hotel room and was told only the General Manager would be able to give me my points back. I asked for her contact information and called and emailed them. They never called or emailed me back so I guess I’m out 60,000 points from this hotel. Don’t even consider coming here if you’re not ok with sleeping in blood, spaghetti and nuts. This place is an abject failure from housekeeping to the front desk to management. It is truly amazing this place is still open!

20 hour trip -2 hours away!
Arrived at 2:30, room had a terrible odor!
Left immediately with wife and son, assuming the smell was from the air conditioner just being turned on!
WRONG…
Numerous complaints about the smell, the front desk staff tells me everything but, we are sorry or let me make this right.
Air purifier, front desk skank spray for our room, the owner lying to my face, a sore throat in morning and zero apology!
And my wife just finished chemotherapy last week!
This place is appalling to say the least.
And horrible “breakfast “

I was floored by how rude the front desk/night clerk were/are. Can someone please tell the owner the night guy needs to go! He was rude to my friends and my girlfriend. The guest is not always right. He should know what line of business he is in. Clearly he does NOT!

We asked for a handicap accessible room. This room had a roll in shower that was really nice, but the rest of the bathroom could have been better maintained. The toilet was very rusty at the bottom and clogged frequently. The sink was also not clean. The beds were very high and I am only 5'3". This means my husband has to help me get into bed.

Horrible! Stained carpet, broken chair, cracked and water stained ceiling, musty smell and no free breakfast as advertised claiming because of covid according to sign from 2020 in lobby. But you'll get honey buns, twinkies, ho hos and coffee. Why not at least yogurts and granola bars? Tried to call corporate to complain and were on hold for about 1/2hr.

I just got through staying here and the hotel was OK. Its your typical, choice hotel, nothing special. For the money, it was great. The hotel seems fairly new, and everything inside looked pretty new. I will add the room smelt kinda musty. But, the bed was VERY comfortable, everything seemed pretty clean, and the bathroom had a whirlpool in it and i supposely got just a standard king room. Of course your not on the beach, but your maybe a mile away from it. Also, the outdoor pool is VERY small. Only 4 ft. deep. I probabaly wouldnt stay there again, but if your looking for just somewhere cheap, clean and decent, its a good hotel.

This Comfort Inn is located conveniently on US 17, only a few miles from the Myrtle Beach boardwalk. The staff was friendly and helpful but this facility is badly in need of an upgrade. Not one of our best Choice Hotel experiences.
