I wouldn't stay there again! First of all there was a smoke smell, the rooms are non-smoking, but evidently the hallway isn't! The paint was peeling in places on the walls & the door. The plumbing is probably the original from the 1980's so it doesn't work the best! There weren't enough electrical outlets so a strip was used where... More

This place was in need of some work when we were here 3 yrs ago. It was Staurolite, and now econo lodge. We had room 105. It was huge, and had everything we needed, 2 tvs, fridge, coffee, quiet, and loved having a door to the outside to get to our van. The room was clean, for 1 bed, 2... More

Checked into our two queen smoke free room on Friday night. The room stunk so bad, we could not stay. Obviously someone had smoked in the room but there was also some extra "funk" in the room that we could not figure out. After talking to the front desk, we found out that some homeless folks had stayed in the... More

The rooms were clean and quiet. The bathroom was good sized .Breakfast was ok. THE price was great. We had a ground floor room with a door that lead into the hallway and one that went right outside. The only thing I did not like was the gap under the outside door.I did let the front desk know about this and they put... I was skeptical about staying here because of some of the reviews and also because of some past experiences at Econolodges. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This is NOT a Ritz Carlton, mind you. If you are on a budget, though, this is a hotel that may work for you. We decided to stay here because the price difference between... More

My family stayed here on a roadtrip. We usually look for a cheap hotel with good reviews. This fit the bill. Our room was clean and looks like it had Ben remodeled. We had a room on the top floor and it overlooked the pool. The indoor pool was nice and clean. It had a hottub, kiddie pool, and a... More

Great place to stay with the family. Price is right, clean and friendly staff. Pool area was clean, room was clean, no complaints. Breakfast is your average continental with cereal, oatmeal, fruit and breads.

This hotel was the Staroulite for many many years. Econolodge has purchased it. They are in the middle of remodeling rooms. I had a suite, which I always get for the Arts Fair weekend in Brookings. I book for the next year when I check out. The carpets are new, the paint is new. Some furniture is new. King bed... More

We were just looking for a place to crash overnight, and perhaps take a swim to relax in the evening. This place met the requirement. We had a nice king bed in a room on the very end and very back of the motel. The place was clean, though I would agree with another reviewer that the carpet needed some... More

Our second stay with a Choice Hotel and, once again, I was very dissatisfied with the room. We booked a double, smoking room for 5 nights. Once again, the staff was pleasant and receptive to our needs. The outside appearance was acceptable. The rooms however, were pretty bad. The first thing that hits you is the smell of smoke. I'm...
