My mom and I stayed for 3 nights at the Franklin Hotel. We were impressed by the history which you can see when you walk through the halls. For being an old building, it is quite quiet. We never really heard our neighbors or anyone out in the hall. We enjoyed the casino in the lobby. The staff was very...

This is a very well cared for historic property in Deadwood South Dakota. The rooms are restored to period decor with modern amenities. The front of hotel rooms overlook Deadwood's Main street and there is often some event going on that affords a great overview of the action.=

If I was able to give 0 stars I would. The manager at the hotel is horrible, and I'm not sure why he is still working there. He booted my husbands car for no reason. I personally think it was to act all powerful. It was a Thursday night and no one else was parked in their parking lot. My...

This is one of the best Casino in Historic Deadwood SD. It is located at the South end of main street. If there is any concert going on across the street at the Deadwood Grand parking is a little hard to find.

My wife and I stayed two nights at The Franklin Hotel. The rooms are old and the doors are not the most secure, but this is the third time we have stayed there. It is historic and original, the beds were good as were the towels. The bathroom is small, no coffee in the room. It can be had in...

Be aware that if there is an event going on in Deadwood the rooms will be overpriced regardless of whether or not you are there for that event or are even aware of an event. Turns out that Room 218 - Potato Creek Johnny - is worth $79.00 on a regular weekend and $150.00 during an event weekend. This is...

We have stayed here many times while in the area visiting relatives and would not want to stay anywhere else! We love the fact that it is truly historic, with the rooms realistically the way they were in the early 20 th century. One of our favorite parts of this hotel is the elegance of the restored lobby and main...

Beautiful new restaurant located downstairs of the Franklin Hotel. If you have memories of the old Dirty Nellies you will soon forget once you see the upscale decor. I ordered the New York strip which was excellent, but others in our party had the sirloin which wasnt as good. If you plan on dining in a large group they cannot...

Stayed here for 2 Nights during Deadwood Jam In Sept 2014. Had a Main Street side room. Very noisy. This hotel needs to update for the price they charge. Ate in the New Steak House downstairs, New York Strip Steak was EXCELLENT, service a bit slow, but will improve over time i would hope.

My wife and I stopped in the Franklin to try the new resturant. It was obvious there are a few bugs to work out and they were short staffed. However the food was very good and the place is very classy!
