I arrived much later than expected after a wet and cold day's walking. Evelyn took all my wet and muddy gear and put it into the boiler room to dry overnight and then cooked me an excellent dinner despite the late hour.

A nice place to stay in the centre of the smal town Bangor. Especially if you walk the Bangor- or Westernway. The B&B ownner Evelyne can pick you up from the end-, start point of your walk. What quit sympathetic is and You don't have to walk on a dangerous mainroad for 6 -10 km. (The walk to Newport of...

I have visited Bangor for many years but this (early Sept) is the first time I have stayed with Evelyn and Richard .Even with the pandemonium in the village resulting from the Mayo football championship, Evelyn did a wonderful job making people feel welcome and at home. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the food is delicious and a...

I chose this B&B as part of my cycle tour of the west coast. The hospitality was fabulous and I enjoyed a meal which was just the ticket after a long day on the road. The owners are so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend to fellow cyclists and any other tourists!

Only 2 B&Bs in the town so rang top rated one first. Lovely welcome. Nice room. No tea & coffee facilities. Everything else was great. Loads of info about area. No visible Wifi code, but was available. Again breakfast just a bit ordinary. No breakfast menu or options. I think these B&Bs should be showcasing the best of home produced...

What a beautiful BnB! We arrived around 7 pm and we're lucky enough to find this delightful place. Evelyn offered to cook us dinner....where else does that happen! Great little village and a delightful hostess! I would recommend this BnB to anyone wishing to experience true Irish hospitality

We had a wonderful stay at the Hillcrest House. Evelyn, the owner, was incredibly gracious and hospitable. My husband and daughter went fishing in the Owensmore River all day Saturday while I explored Bangor Erris and enjoyed the surrounding sites. Evelyn gave me fabulous suggestions and easy driving directions to landmarks around the area. We booked one room with a...

I have never been to a B&B and just had to share my experience before. This was a perfect 10 in my book. I would come again. The location, the views, the WIFI, the food, the décor and selection of breakfast, and more importantly the service. Thanks Bridget, you were really kind and helpful during our one night stay.

Perfect place to stay for anyone doing the Bangor trail. Evelyn had lots of information/maps on the area/trail. The national park office doesn't open until 10:00, not great if you want an early start, so the map was very helpful (the tourist info centre in Newport had no information on the trail). I arrived a lot later than expected but...
