I've always wanted to visit Pine Ridge , we stayed for 5 days, taking in most sights around the reservation, both good and bad. Whilst there is a lot of poverty there are also some beautiful places to see. The Hotel is a very friendly, safe place to stay with a cracking little restaurant. You do not come to visit...

A variety of lodging options, ranging from traditional doubles to kitchenettes, cabins and RV/camping. Rooms are tidy but definitely show their age. Loose tiles, torn lamp shades, loose fittings are not uncommon. A/C and heating are average. Although not in the greatest condition, staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. Remember, this is a motel on the Pine Ridge...

It was a nice place to stay especially after traveling all day through the Badlands. The location was close to Wounded Knee. Hotel was more than adequate, the food was decent and the people very friendly.

If this was off the Reservation, I'd probably say it was Average at best. I think "resort" is stretching things a bit, and I saw no facilities that seemed "ranchy", but this is undoubtedly the best place in Kyle, and one of the best on the Reservation. The decor of a Medium Cabin is hard to describe. It's kind of...

If you want a new high tech place, then stay away. If you want something dated but very clean, a great staff and outstanding food, then go for it. Real nice people who just can not do enough for you. We loved the place.

Day 20 of our Epic Trip. We were lucky enough to get a cozy cabin that allowed pets. While hubby was saving me a seat across the road at the Pow-Wow, I rented us a cabin on the back side of the Resort/camp ground. Horses grazed out behind. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it....

This property is well off the beaten path of most travelers. It is 25-40 minute drive from the Badlands through rolling prairie hills. Most of the guests staying here seemed to know each other. We stayed in a kitchenette room. The kitchen and bathroom areas were squeaky clean and the room was large enough for 6 as advertised. The kitchenette...

Nice little hotel with a good restaurant attached to it. Sadie and the staff took great care of us while we were doing mission work on the reservation. They prepared meals for us each night and the food was very good. Everything was clean and tidy. We will definitely return next year and stay here again.

We were in the area to visit the Badlands and Wounded Knee. This was only lodging and food we found after leaving the park and driving south. The food was good--we ate 3 meals there. Again, there's nothing else around. Also, the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

Fun to find a place that still has the friendly feel, you need a trash bag they go find one and smile. Neat people who make you feel welcome. Rooms were clean and neat, when we needed a pan for the stovetop it was not a problem.

Thank Rodger B
