I must have had a bad room...Everyone else reviewed this motel highly and I really disagreed. I was traveling with dogs, and a motel is handier. This was EXPENSIVE for one night and an ok-ish view. It's not like it overlooked the actual mountains, or Mount Rushmore...but the evening city view and the morning sunrise was nice. The beds were...

Our most expensive room in the "high" season is $125 plus $10 for the dog. $185 must have been from another motel. We recently replaced all of our TVs with new flat screens. Sorry this guest was here before that. Our doggy toilet area is large enough for most and there is an extremely large area to play with/walk your...

My entire stay was beyond my expectation. Family friendly, great views (saw double rainbow besides the lights of the city). Felt safe leaving our belongings in the room while on day trips. We were able to stretch dollars by eating some meals in room due to access to gas grill, in room frig, and microwave. Nice continental breakfast daily. Quiet...

The first thing about this place is the view. Wait until you come back to Big Sky Lodge after a day exploring the Black Hills and see the night time lights of Rapid City. The rooms are clean and quiet with nice size televisions, microwaves, and refrigerators. There are grills to cook out on and an outdoor hot tub with...

We stayed on the back side facing the overlook of the valley and city for four nights. What a great view. It is an older style motel, but very clean. If we ever get back to this part of the country, we will stay here again.

Really great place. Nice hot tub outdoors that overlooks the entire city! So beautiful at night. Rooms are very nice and the housekeeping did very well. Everyone was super friendly! Only complaint is the shower head is very low. Not a good combo when I am really tall! Haha but overall amazing. I would recommend so much. Best view ever!

Big Sky Lodge continues to surprise us. We are in the Black Hills at least once a year and have found The Big Sky Lodge offers very clean rooms, comfortable queen size beds, great water pressure in the tub and shower, refrigerators in every room. They also allow dogs. That's important to us as the "head" of our family travels...

We stayed at the Big Sky during the Sturgis Rally. Our hosts Jay and Alicia were extremely welcoming and generous. We had a lovely, nostalgic room overlooking Rapid City and the Badlands in the distance. Our beds were newer and very comfortable, the sheets were bright white and not your average motel sheets. The quilts were patterned after quilts of...

Loved the character of the lodge. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Staff was very accommodating and the owners helped with day trip ideas - much appreciated since I had limited time to spend in the area. They went out of their way to make sure I understood directions, entrance times and fees, etc. Oh and the absolute...

We stayed for two nights, booked three but they allowed the change due to medical reason..very nice people.. The room was quite dated, and really needed detail cleaning..seen NO bugs!! The deadbolt didn't work in this room either, I always bring a door stick so I felt safe..worst thing was, the beds are Soo hard I left with such a...

I recently drove alone with our dog for our families relocation from KY to WA. It was a 40 hour drive that I decided to split up into 4 days with 10 hours of driving each day. So this hotel was the 2nd stop for me and our dog, it was also the worst hotel on my road trip. First...

Sorry this guest had such a frustrating experience. * We understand she was tired from a long trip. Occasionally electronic locks malfunction and take a few minutes to repair while the door is open and the guests are moving into their room. * The beds are less than 2 years old and we are constantly buying new linens. They are...
