1st time here and won't be back should have paid the extra $400 to go elsewhere, Gravel sites and very congested, no shade and no real amenities. Only 2 Bathroom facilities with many needing to use them

The owner is a jerk. Bathrooms were dirty and crowded. There are better choices in the area, keep looking. It did not feel like a "safe" place. The spot we had reserved next to friends was given to someone else. No help from management.

We stayed here during the 2015 Sturgis Bike Week and did tent camping. I will say up front that the price was great, and that is why we chose to stay here, but everything else was a disappointment. For starters, the campground was unsafe for bikers after a rain storm, and it rained several days that week. Several bikers fell...

We stayed in a cabin for rally week. The mini cabins are not so much cabins as they are sheds w/ institutional style bunk beds in them. There is an air conditioner and dorm style fridge. We never had any issues w/ power surges / outages as I heard others mention. The air was a blessing most days and the...

Excellent stayed five days. Bathrooms clean good food friendly atmosphere. Plenty of entertainment at night close to downtown Sturgis. Plan on staying there again and again. Book your stay six months out at least they fill up quick.

Cons Registration was not as easy as I was told it would be. Owner was abusive to me and my friend when he was parking us in the campground. We were packed into a camping slip for one but was crowded out by other camper put on sight. The campground floods when it rains. It was very noisy at night....

This campground is the perfect location for anyone who wants to visit Sturgis but doesn't want to get swept up in the inevitable noise and chaos brought on by the Rally. We stayed in a "cabin" that slept 4 (two bunks) and had an AC unit and a refrigerator. That is all there is room for. It is TIGHT. I...

WE came to Sturgis for our first time this year. We decided to stay at Iron Horse because of the pricing and it looked like it was fairly quiet. We stayed two nights at the end of the rally. Great views, the only downfall was there are no trees. The food it great and the beer is priced well. Da...

The camp grounds was in a good location. Had good shower and bathrooms. Only down side was no trees, but an excellent view of Bear Butte. The staff was friendly and there was no attitudes on the camp ground. A good breakfast at a reasonable price.

I spent about 7 days camping in my toyhauler at The Iron Horse Campground. It is situated between the very scenic and spiritual Bear Butte State Park and the wild Broken Spoke Saloon, both located north of the campground on SR 79. If the Buffalo Chip is too crowded and too noisy, try the Iron Horse. At night, I may...

“I stayed literally right on Highway 79, not within the sea of trailers. Ask for the road and put up with a little noise or if you like to chat, try the center isles. The restaurant in the clubhouse only has picnic tables and may not open until the full Bike rally Week. Internet is available but only up on the hill, where the entrance is. I met a lot of people just trying to get online and talking about clubs and bars to visit in Sturgis.”
