We booked to stay When the concert we attended was over. It was very to get off the Interstate and into the parking lot. Staff was very helpful. They made a mistake on our charge, got our reservation mixed up with someone else and charged their room to us. I noticed it on my bank app and went to the front desk. The young lady said she had made a mistake and corrected it immediately. She was super nice. They were remodeling rooms and the ones finished were very nice. I recommend this place.
Although it identifies itself as being downtown, it's not. It's a short drive to all the attractions though. Despite being next to a busy interstate, it's quiet inside. Rooms are pretty standard, but satisfactory for a short stay. We noticed that the placement of the TV was a bit awkward, you could only watch it from the bed, but not the couch. Staff were helpful when I ask for an extra blanket-they gave me a king sized duvet to wrap up in (it was unseasonably cold last weekend). When asked for recommendations for nearby restaurants all they could offer was a printed sheet that was outdated (some fo the restaurants on the printout were permanently closed according to an internet search). Breakfast was pretty standard for this the of hotel e.g., eggs, bacon, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juices, cereal etc.…
The exterior of the hotel is not in great shape, the parking lot well lit, and the neighborhood is not somewhere I would walk by myself at night. The staff did not seem to know what they were doing and they were not professionally dressed. The inside of the hotel was average and breakfast was typical of what you would expect. Our door was not aligned properly so it was really hard to open, but for one night it was fine. I would say if you are passing through it is fine for a night, but I would not want to spend several nights at this hotel. I also would not walk to downtown from here, especially at night.
I was surprised at the rave reviews this hotel received after staying there one night. The hotel is in downtown Chatanooga, but it is many, many blocks from any other destination, close to the interestate, and in a seedy area. We reserved two rooms, and while they were clean, one room smelled so strongly of bleach/disinfectant that my eyes were red and swollen and my sinuses blocked. The front desk people were very friendly, but unprofessionally dressed in hoodies and tshirts. The bathroooms were very dated. The beds were comfortable, but do yourself a favor and pay a bit more to be in a better area.
Terrible service, Terrible housekeeping, very unprofessional!! Our a/c smelled like urine, didn't have another room to move us to, so went without a/c. Were told they would speak with manager and someone would let us know something in the morning and would move us. No one contacted us. I had to call and go to front desk 3 times, (once told come back, another time was told would be moved come back and get key) before anyone gave us an answer and then they said there were no rooms, after i insisted that i was told they would move us, we finally got another room. Then later were told could not give us any more of a discount because they moved us. The manager of this hotel NEVER once contacted me during this time! The only good part of our stay at this hotel was Cortney, the front desk gentlemen at night. This took til 3 pm in the afternoon. I also spent over an hour on the phone to choice hotels as well! If you value your time, your money and your sanity, do not stay here.…
