I really enjoyed staying at the District 3 hotel. It was conveniently located close to the highway. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very cordial and helpful. I was traveling between Mississippi and Knoxville, but I would stay here again.

Not a great neighborhood for walking but the hotel seemed nice and secure. Newer rooms and very clean. But c'mon, they're still doing a pathetic "bag breakfast". The restrictions in Tennessee allow them to offer something better than a chocolate chip muffin and an apple.

Dear Ed, Thank you for your recent feedback regarding your stay with us. We're glad you enjoyed our spotless, updated accommodations. However, we sincerely apologize for a Grab and Go breakfast that didn't meet your expectations. Although we regret that you felt uncomfortable in our surrounding area, we're pleased that you felt secure on our property. Your thoughtful comments are valued and we'd love a chance to make your next stay even better.

I hitched a ride to Chattanooga with my boyfriend as he was going to drill, so that I could take advantage of the weekend to take pictures. We left after work Thursday night (Feb 18) and are staying until Sunday (Feb 21). I read through reviews and should have listened to the poorer of the reviews. I wish I could say that the pro's outweigh the cons, but they really don't. I don't usually rate anything below a 3, because most of the places I've been are hidden gems... except for this one unfortunately. I was to the point where if he didn't get to stay with me, I was going to be finding a different hotel, and would have went through the trouble of getting my money back, because I was asking specific questions on the phone when I called to make reservations. I feel like I was misled and lied to. I do appreciate the military discount, but I know a couple other hotels in the area have mil discounts as well... GO WITH THE MORE EXPENSIVE! Do not waste your money on this Ascend location. I am also glad that I didn't buy into to the timeshare deal they give you on the phone! If this is what this hotel is like.. I'm afraid of the others. Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly; Free parking on site at the hotel (a pretty rare find in Chattanooga.); working air conditioner; pretty fast for UberEats; reasonable pricing; offered military discount; pretty clean for the most part; definitely following CDC guidelines regarding CoVid-19; close enough to things to do (driving); gas station across the street; grab and go breakfast included Cons: Rough part of town; Can hear everything through the windows and walls (including the sirens all night long); Panhandlers on the corner at most hours of the day; Homeless camp less than 2 miles away; Did not feel safe to walk alone anywhere (even though I carry protection); The beds are so firm that it feels like you're sleeping on a rock; the 3rd floor hallway smells like cigarette smoke and extremely musty; the "mountain view" consist of a little bit of mountain and a whole lot of janky buildings. I would like to say that I'd stay here again because it's been pretty easy to get around in our truck, but if I had been carless like was originally planned I would have been up the creek without a paddle. All in all, I wish I had paid the extra money and stayed somewhere in town and will do so next trip down.

The location is close to Highway and Broad Street. Parking is fabulous here. Only bad thing, it is not in walking distance to any tourist sites or to restaurants. Rooms look well cleaned. Staffs are great.

We were coming home from St. Petersburg FL and wanted to get past Atlanta before stopping for the night. Made a reservation at this hotel and were not disappointed. Kristina was at the desk upon check in. We went to our room which was very nice and clean! We hadn't eaten and it was late, so my husband asked Kristina if there was a place she would recommend that we could drive through and bring back. She was very helpful in giving us directions and suggestions. The next morning prior to leaving we went down to get our grab and go breakfast. Nice light breakfast to start the day. Kristina was there in the morning and we again spoke to her. She asked how our stay had been. I must say, she was one of the most pleasant people we have run into on our stays in hotels during our trip. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It appears to be in the middle of an industrial area, but the outside was well kept, the parking lot well lit.
