Had passed Chattanooga so many times but never visited so decided it was time for a look. They have converted the old station into a very nice hotel with plenty to see at the rear of the hotel, with the original Chattanooga Choo Choo and many rail cars some of which you can spend the night in. The gardens were...

Check in was supposed to be at 3pm. We attempted to check in at 1:45 and was told that she noted our name and to come back at 3. We returned at 3 and our rooms where not ready. We were told to return in 15-20 minutes. Returned. Rooms still not ready. Long story short we had to check multiple...

We booked two nights in one of the train cars, but left after one. The stench in the train car was bad, the car was cold and there was no extra blanket - we had to use a mattress cover from the trundle bed for warmth, but we did discover 9 extra pillows. Using the train cars for lodging is...

We stayed for one night during a road trip. Was great hotel with lots of history and character. We stayed at the back with the pool and waterfall. Lots to do around the hotel even a restaurant in the old train carriages. Very quirky !!! loved it x

We only had one night here-pity. We had a 'normal' bedroom-large and Tea/coffee facilities. No safe, shower gel or shower cap-tho' I'm sure reception would have supplied if requested. The train is awesome, as is the reception itself. WiFi not the best in the rooms-better at reception. The Frothy Monkey Café is good for groups (long tables). Can pick up breakfast...

I am a Chattanoogan, love our city, and recently came home for a short vacation and stayed at the Choo Choo. It was terrible. The train rooms are dirty, holes in the bathroom floor, tub slow to drain, paint dirty, toilet ran all night, everything except the lobby is poorly maintained. The pool was dirty, dimly lit, the staff is...

Stayed in one of the Pullman Train car rooms....vintage does not have to mean crappy & dirty. HVAC froze up. Paper thin wall between us & the people in the other half of the train car. It get's a 2 rating just for the cool factor but seriously disappointing room.

My husband and I were gifted a 2-night stay here for Christmas this past year. We wanted to do a weekend getaway during an "off" season to avoid overcrowding so we opted for a random weekend in February. The concierge in the lobby was very helpful and got us checked in quickly even though she was having some computer problems...

Stayed here while visiting a good friend who lives nearby. This place is a gem but not as popular unfortunately. The rooms in the back are average but very roomy. The showers were old but functional. The drains had stuff stuck in them that had not been cleaned. Coffee maker was provided, TV was usual flat screen. The back porch...

I've been coming here 1-2x a year for about 7 years now-always in winter. This year I finally attended a convention there in summertime and I was STOKED to finally use that pool that had been vexing me.

All day long it was full of feral children and at night, when the con activities slowed the pool gates were locked. (9pm!) that was the only time I saw any security off their golf cart-to lock us out of the pool! Earlier in the day, we noticed a car POURING GAS from it tank in the parking lot. We flagged the centaurs (security/golf cart hybrids) and one said point blank that he didn't care because it "wasn't his car". I called the front desk 2x about it. No one really seemed to care.

I am SORELY disappointed, Choo Choo.

Also the renovations are terrible, did you have to tear out the station house and sandwich shop at the same time? The gardens breakfast we used to look forward to was awful, and the short male waiter was TERRIBLE. Overheard him telling a table of three ladies that unless they gave him another dollar he would have to pay a dollar to take care of them (not sure what he meant, but they coughed up an extra dollar, which he pocketed and left them without saying ty) ladies told us they'd never be back. When we paid him, he didn't even offer to bring our change, just took our cash and left.

He should be fired.

We had silver car pizza 1x and it was burnt. We called out to papa johns and then city cafe after that.

We have always stayed here at the choo choo, and looked forward to it, but after this past weekend at the con, we're considering branching out and trying another hotel nearby...
