We visit this hotel often. For my anniversary I took my wife there. Conveniently located off the interstate, close to restaurants. If you have never stayed at this hotel, there is the old section and the new section. For the history buffs, stay in the old section. It is a little bit more nostalgic. For those of you that are...

Good location between the river walk and some great neighborhood pockets in the opposite direction of the river. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful (however, that speaks to everybody we met in Chattanooga....this is the friendliest place on the planet!). The hotel is old, which is nice, but some of the areas in the rooms really showed it (stains...

We were the only guest as far as I can tell on the 5th floor and they put us right next door to other guest. The walls are paper thin and you can literally hear them yawn! The hotel is run down. Never again. Pool area is lacking. Cold indoor pool that is only 3 feet deep the entire pool.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Read House Hotel. The only thing we regret is not staying longer. We found the historic hotel to be full of classic, old charm, from the nostalgic telephone booths in the lobby, to the vintage mailbox off of the lobby. The decor is absolutely beautiful and well kept up. This...

Enjoyed our stay at the beautiful and historic Read House. Staff made us feel very welcome - special kudos to Cory, the efficient and personable bartender, and Shannon, server at the restaurant, who was very courteous and seemed to remember all his guests.

Lobby area is very opulent! Grand Piano and all. Very clean throughout. My little girl loved the elegant room we stayed in. She remembers still how good it smelled. lol. We really enjoyed the ghost stories about the hotel too. Great fun time had by all.

We enjoyed our three nights in The Read House. It was a very well kept old hotel with a wonderful lobby like you don't see any more. The room we had was a corner suite and was very clean and a nice view of the street on two sides of the room. The staff was very nice. We did not...

This hotel has a colorful past (Churchill AND Capone!) which you can feel in its elegant facade and lobby. Good location, at a bustling intersection not far from the highway. It's a 15- or 20-minute hike to the Riverfront. I took in a Lookouts' game; 10-minute walk. Several restaurants nearby. The only hotel staff I interacted with - at the...

Wonderful hotel with extremely friendly staff. Free bus stops outside which runs every 5 minutes, running to the aquarium and river, or to Chattanooga Choo Choo. Hotel restaurant good and the bar well stocked. Situated one block from the Plaza and free live music nights each Friday during the summer
