I booked this hotel after seeing it's a relatively new Marriott for the area. The price was noticeably higher than comparable nearby hotels, but again, since it was newer I wanted to give it a shot. Unfortunately, things started to fall apart at check-in. While the woman handling check-in was nice and professional, she couldn't get the room keys to activate correctly. Once inside the room, we discovered that the hotel website is not honest about its bed sizing. What had been advertised as two "queens" were clearly two doubles. Additionally, if you ran the kitchen faucet, it would lead to the sink backing up. The next morning, we realized the walls must be lightly insulated as we could hear the adjacent room's alarm clock going off. The final straw was after coming back from the lobby with our breakfast, we discovered our door no longer recognized any room keys. It wasn't our room keys that were the problem, but the actual RFID door lock was either dead or broken. Because there's no manual door lock, we had to wait for the staff to reset the RFID reader. We had a pretty tight schedule to get going and leave the hotel, so this really threw a wrench having a smooth departure. What was especially irritating was that no staff member offered any sort of credit for a pretty big issue. When we checked out of the hotel, the staff didn't even bother with an apology. We had really hoped this would be a new favorite spot when traveling, but that was dashed by the corners cut inside the room and the lack of any customer service savy. Unless substantial improvements are made in those areas, I will not return and do not recommend this property to others.…
we enjoyed our stay. The hotel was modern, clean and roomy, the beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. We were just passing through and just stopped to rest our heads. Would stay again. I always recommend a Marriott.
After a less than satisfactory experience at another hotel in another state last night, we arrived at TownPlace in Clarksville today.. All I can say is what a difference a day makes! Our room was sparkling clean, bright and large, tastefully appointed with a small kitchenette and living area. Did I mention the room was spotlessly clean? Staying at a hotel during COVID requires a high degree of trust that housekeeping is going above and beyond..not just to keep guests happy, but to keep them safe. TownPlace Suites gets two big thumbs up from me! Highly recommend staying here-especially during these nerve-wracking times!
We reserved a room using our Marriott points. When we got to the hotel we are told that there is only one room available and it is handicap. While walking in the halls before getting to the room we noticed that the hotel has obviously not been vacuumed in sometime as there is obvious debris everywhere. Once we entered the room I was sadly disappointed to see the same run down appearance in the room. The bathroom floor has obviously not be cleaned and is clearly disgusting. I went to the front desk and complained about the flooring and asked for towels to put on the bathroom floor because I do not want to walk on it. I was given two towels with no apologies or any regard for my complaint. I have attached a picture for reference. Do you think this is acceptable? Will not stay here again and do not recommend this place if you are visiting Clarksville.…
Pulled into town with two toddlers. The two room suites created an environment for everyone to get some rest. The hotel is very modern. One of the best things was the staff was very friendly upon arrival after a long day of travel.
