We stayed at Davy Crockett campground for 2 nights, it has the cleanest and nicest bathrooms I have ever seen at a campground. We stayed on a tent site which was spacious. All the RV sites had really nice decks. There is a campstore, pool, hot tub, volleyball, corn hole, basketball, playground, fishing pond. We will definitely be back.

This is a very nice, family type campground with a mix of what seems like permanent residents and overnight campers, like us. The sites were clean and well maintained and it was easy to level on the fresh, fine gravel surface. We walked the campground and enjoyed the exercise. It was quiet there, and with the heavy tree cover and distance from Interstate 40, there is hardly any traffic noise in the campground. We would certainly return.

This is one of the cleanest private campgrounds we've ever been to. It was extremely well maintained and very shady. The spots have plenty of room to maneuver your rig. It has a great salt water swimming pool and a massive hot tub. The bathhouse was great too. Very upgraded and clean. The only downside was that there was no one in the shop so we weren't able to ask questions or purchase things we forgot. The upside was that they have an honor system for fishing supplies and firewood. The few hosts we encountered were very knowledgeable and friendly. The people who were long term were very friendly and helpful as well. My youngest had a blast fishing with another kid his age. They were at the pond when they weren't in the pool. Would definitely recommend this as a stop to anyone. We plan on visiting again.

Basically, all stones, can't ride your bike, store hours are in intermittent, with no set times for any help, & they charge $20!! to bring wood to your campsite, mind you the bundle is $5. Store is almost completely devoid of merchandise. Sites that say they overlook the lake, are more like a murky slime covered pond. Many many full-time residences. Overall, total disappointment.

The camp ground is nice with a lot of trees. It’s all gravel tho so with younger kids it’s not ideal to ride bikes. The website promotes their restaurant and that it has snack shack by the pool but neither are open so that was a bummer. The pool was also pretty small for the amount of campers so the kids couldn’t even swim or enjoy it. The water was also very foggy. Any employee we ran into was nice and checking in and out was easy.

The park was nice and had lots of amenities the only issue is all those great things the park has to offer are not available during off season. I have a problem with paying for services that are not available. Considering the cost of our stay was around $60 a night with almost zero amenities I would not stay here again. Although I'm sure the park is a great place to stay during season ,with all the wonderful amenities they offer it would be a great value at $60 a night. The management might consider that during off season when all those amenities aren't available maybe your pricing should change as well. I believe something in the $40 range is more reasonable for what is offered.

This place has so much potential, but a few things just ruined it for us unfortunately.

The facility and amenities are very interesting. The customer service is decent. They are accommodating which helped us a lot.

Now the reason for the rating… the long term renters have ruined the appeal of this campground. They are very unkept and all you can see is mess and clutter. We woke up every single morning on our business trip to non stop barking from a long term renters dogs and someone blaring there music in their car. It was every morning between 8-9am.

Also I have never stayed in a more crowed place or so close to other campers. We could literally hear people walking and talking in their camper over our AC just due to the close distance. Some people may be ok with that but it’s not for us.

The final issue was the office or general store was not open at all the entire time we were there. We had to make a drive to get anything we needed. A grounds keeper said the owner was just working from home.

Again they were accommodating when we needed to check in early for a business event, but outside of that it’s not somewhere we would want to revisit.

First, it’s not the easiest to find. If you pass it there’s no turn around. The checking in was easy, the people are very friendly and helpful. They allowed wood fires so we bought a bundle for $5. We only stayed overnight so we didn’t get to explore the lake, but I would highly recommend it for a family camp out.

We had a great stay at Davy Crockett. It's very quiet and the camping spot was amazing. The bathrooms were a little far and lackluster but everything else is pleasant and relaxing. We camped in our pop up camper and the staff gave us the perfect spot. The pool was fun for the kids and the distance was just right from the highway so we didn't hear the noise but were quick at accessing all the local amenities.

Great setup, nice pool with beautiful and clean showers. Our kids really enjoyed the pool and had a great time with the other kids there. The campground was quiet and it was easy to set up our camper. The hot tub house has two clean and roomy showers
