Gorgeous, relaxing, comfortable, calming, and welcoming. Those are the words I would use to describe Thistletop. We came tired and worn. We left rejuvenated and happy. The house is a Braxton Dixon design of perfection. Every room is designed to each square inch to be amazing. In addition to the amazing architecture and design, Mary Jane and Fred have set...

I agree with Jessica L: this may be the best BnB we've stayed: The beauty of the architecture, materials and details and the warmth of the hosts are both excessively impressive. About 15 min from town center, and in a residential area, so go for the peace and respite. We feel lucky to have the experience and will definitely return.

Wanted to visit Nashville for our anniversary, but didn't want to be in town. This beautiful B&B was just perfect! Fred and Mary Jane were awesome hosts and we enjoyed their company. They helped us with recommendations and shared a glass of wine when we arrived. The Taos room was beautifully decorated and the bed was quite comfortable. Fifteen minutes...

You'll love this place as it's inn keepers are the nicest most wonderful people to chat with. The place is so inspiring for anyone who's an artist or writer. My husband booked this for our first anniversary, and we had a perfect stay! I loved the serenity of the property-- lots of green grass, beautiful trees, and a great night's sleep in peace and quiet. It was the best of both worlds because we felt like we were out in the country but we could also get to different...

This beautiful property and home is truly an experience of peace in a pastoral, yet sophisticated, setting! The home, built by Master Builder Braxton Dixon, provides a glimpse of fine craftsmanship not seen these days.....beautiful, repurposed woods and stone, interesting and historical doors, stairs (from New Orleans and London) are just the beginning! We stayed three days in the cottage...
