Hotel's Favourite
We traveled to Harriman for a family wedding. Our rooms were adjacent to each other which was nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The shower contained Dove products for hair and body.
The grand children enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool and the breakfast was great, with lots of hot and cold choices. Definitely satisfied with our choice of hotel.

This was a nice hotel, a few miles west of Knoxville. Not much directly in the area but I was there for business so worked out fine. Signage is blocked by trees if you come from the south but not difficult to take a couple u turns to get back there. The hotel is set back on the hill. I asked for a room in the back which was nice and quiet until they emptied the garbage at 6 AM. Even with Covid controls in place they did a good job with breakfast. The pool and exercise facilities were open, they just ask that you let them know so they can clean the exercise equipment. The staff was friendly and helpful. If going to the Cracker Barrel next door you will want to drive since you need to go down the driveway to the highway and over to their driveway to get back up the hill, no direct route.

We travel for work and this is our go to hotel when we do business in the area. Beautiful view of the mountains. Heads up the trail goes by often. However you can request a room on the backside of the hotel and you will not notice the train. There is a Cracker Barrel nearby and other chain restaurants.

Our room was large, well appointed and beautiful with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and had great water pressure.
The breakfast selections were numerous and well presented. It was a very satisfying experience and not overly expensive.

Very pleasant over night: quick and efficient check-in, very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. When we realized we forgot something, we called the hotel and were assured the item would be mailed to us.
It appeared in the mail just a few days later. Excellent customer service and a very nice breakfast to go.

We stopped here on a road trip due to the good reviews we found. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience others must have. While the beds where clean (which is my number one issue when looking for a hotel), the building itself needs a little work. The room was a bit dirty, had mold in the shower but the part that bothered us the most was the three roaches my husband killed during our one night stay. He did not tell me about this until afterwards as to not freak me out and told me he killed a spider instead. Needless to say, we will not be back.

Response from IHG Service, Owner at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Harriman, an IHG hotel
Responded Nov 9, 2021
Hello Cloakofstars, Thank you for choosing to stay at our hotel and for sharing your experience. We strive to offer the type of hospitality our guests value most where the essentials are done exceptionally well. While I am glad you enjoyed the mountain view and you were pleased with our clean beds, I am sorry to learn that you felt to unlikely come back due to the room's upkeep, the insects, and the hotel's condition. This is definitely not the kind of experience we want any of our guests to have. I've shared your sentiments with our management team, and I trust that they will make the necessary adjustments to improve the quality of our guests' experience. I hope to get another chance to host your next visit as we promise to make the value of your experience worth it for all the right reasons. Yours in hospitality, Jeraldine R. Case Manager IHG Service

Large rooms, very clean. Front desk person very polite. Rooms facing front have nice views of mountains. If you’re a light sleeper, get a room on back side; trains run about every 30 minutes and might keep you awake.

A good stopping point after a late UT game when headed West. Hotel needs a refresh top to bottom, quiet even though it’s so close to I-40. Hotel was fully booked and never heard another guest. Employees, especially Cherry, extremely helpful and very friendly. Didn’t stay for breakfast. Bed was comfortable and bedding wasn’t dated.

The hotel still looks pretty nice sitting up on the hillside. The place is above average due to the other hotels around but it’s definitely letting go of once being a really nice hotel. I remember coming here years back when it was still pretty new. I know with time, everything ages but it’s sad to see little things let go. Items being taped together vs a real fix. Bathrooms having mold in the corners or on the tub. Don’t get me wrong, the room was still nice. Just sad to see this place used to be a 5. I would have given it a 4 star but the mold and such…
Also there needs to be an updated vending machine. One that takes a card or Apple Pay. Not everyone Carrie’s coins or dollars that much. And the water was sold out.
Need TVs where I can watch Netflix n such too.
But if you need a place to stay while traveling through, still a good one to stop at.

Friendly staff , clean , left an item in my home and they noticed me after leaving and mailed it to me . Meet up with friends later in the evening and enjoyed a nice get together after our 5o high school reunion in the lobby.
Our breakfast was simple but adequate and room cost reasonable.
