Hotel's Favourite
We often choose Tru by Hilton because, by design, they give you the feeling of "extreme clean". We love the absence of carpeting and heavy draperies. I can wake up in the morning without a dust/mold allergy induced headache. Hallways have a kind of indoor/outdoor carpeting which helps keep noise from rolling suitcases to a minimum. The TVs are huge but they sometimes have to be re-set. If that happens, just call the front desk for help. Tru is once again offering their jazzy breakfast buffet with all kinds of toppings for cereal, pancakes, omelets, yogurt, etc. During the height of the Pandemic they could only offer a bagged to-go breakfast. It's nice to have the full buffet back. The lobby is wide-open and very colorful and includes a pool table. This Tru also had a swimming pool and workout facility. They are enthusiastic local business boosters and are happy to give you info to make your stay in the area more interesting. All in all, we give this hotel an excellent rating.

The hotel staff were great!! They had multiple people in the lobby most nights and handled all of us great! The breakfast every morning was just what a ball team needed to start their days. Couldn’t ask for a better stay.

A nice and modern hotel, rooms were clean, AC cold, the showers hot, and beds were comfortable. There’s a mini fridge in the room, but if you want to heat up a meal you’ll need to go down to the lobby. Unlike some hotels during covid, they’ve returned to a full hot breakfast with lots of options. They have this neat touchless pancake maker that churns out perfect pancakes with a wave of your hand. The lobby area has lots of seating and also serves as the breakfast area in the mornings. There’s a pool/billiards table in the lobby that’s typically always busy. Across the way is a fitness room that’s open 24 hours with a weight bench, dumbbells, pullup rack, TRX style bands, two treadmills, and an elliptical. Down the same hallway is an indoor pool, but the water’s pretty cold and there’s no hot tub. Parking is abundant and we saw several trailers and Uhauls parked at the rear of the hotel. If you park on the opposite side of the lobby at the rear entrance, you’ll be situated right next to the elevators, but it will require a key card to enter. Luggage carts are available at the lobby entrance and the hotel is pet friendly, but it will cost extra if you’re staying with Fido. Speaking of which, there’s a small dog run out back and fireflies gather near the tree line in the evenings. My kids (from California) were mesmerized since we don’t have them out west. We stayed here on the 4th, 5th, and 11th of July 2021 while making a round trip to South Carolina. I’d like to commend Gabbie and Tammy for making it a wonderful stay. Gabbie was running the front desk in the evenings all by herself while being inundated with check-ins and guest calls. We were in the lobby area having dinner and noticed she couldn’t catch a break to have her own meal because of all the activity, but despite it all she remained courteous and pleasant with all the guests. Similarly, Tammy was helpful and friendly while keeping breakfast moving and well stocked. Both were fine examples of Southern Hospitality and we’d happily recommend this hotel to others.

Dear bubbicito, Thank you for your very kind review. I'm glad your family enjoyed your stays with us and were able to take in the fireflies that are prevalent in the area this time of year. I will be sure to pass along your compliments to Tammy, Gabbie and the rest of the staff. We hope to see you again on your next adventure through Knoxville.

This is a newer building conveniently located off the interstate. The staff we VERY friendly and the rooms were VERY clean. The only area of improvement might be better quality sheets, the fitted sheet was starting to pill. But overall this a great location, very quiet, very clean, and very reasonably priced.
