My husband and I stayed there last week, gorgeous place on a lake, beautiful room with a view, we didn't pick a night that the restaurant was open, so we will be forced to return - (haha!) The other piece that is so under-reported was the hospitality of the owners, great conversations with Patrick and my Brian about the election,... More

We stayed in this hidden gem for two nights - had a spacious double room, a comfortable large double bed, and to top it all, two windows with stunning views to the lake and distant countryside. No detail was overlooked in the design of the room, from the luxurious rain shower to the selection of complimentary teas and biscuits. The... More

Stayed here for a work event that was taking place in a town close to Virginia. I got a wonderful welcome by the friendly owner that was happy to help in anyway she could. I met her husband in the morning after a beautiful breakfast. Again, he was very welcoming and carried my bags to the car when leaving. My... More

Having visited St Kyrans in August and enjoyed it so much we returned in September for a two night stay. We had the 5 course tasting menu on the first night and the A La Carte on the second. The food on both nights was exceptional and the staff very friendly and welcoming. We were able to sit on the... More

Maybe unfairly, my wife & I are traditionally wary of any establishment in the Irish hospitality sector that labels itself as "Saint Something-Or-Other" - probably it dates back to childhood experiences of Spartan seaside B&Bs reeking of religion while devoid of any Christian comforts. So, unless our daughter had urged us to stay in St. Kryans, we'd have skipped over... More

This is one of the loveliest places to stay in Ireland. I don't say that lightly, but where praise is due it should be offered. When you arrive, you may actually think you're in the wrong location or about to go back to school. Persevere, as when you walk in to this boutique hotel/restaurant, it has been sumptuously renovated with... More

We stayed in st Kyrans while we were attending a wedding in Virginia. It describes itself as a b&b but it is more like a charming boutique hotel. The setting is beautiful and a great location to have a glass of wine lakeside. From checking in, we were made very comfortable and the room was beautifully furnished, clean and beds... More

We were met by Patrick the owner of the place & he was so welcoming it was great. I stayed with my daughter & 3 children & Patrick could not do enough for us. I wish it was more than 1 night we stayed but would definetly recommend and if I am ever in Cavan again would stay there. The... More

Only found this beautiful guest house / restaurant by accident. Travelling from A to B and noticed this gem nestled just outside Virginia. Staff were fantastic, food was amazing. Overall experience was top class. Huge credit to owners and staff. I am looking forward to returning. Thanks you.
