We popped in for food, an unexpected group of 8 people. The barleycove hotel and restaurant couldn’t have been more accommodating for us. Showed us to a lovely table with a great view over the beach.

Food for everyone was delicious, the calamari are amazing here. Children were very happy with pasta and chicken options, and there was loads of room on their huge solid tables for everyone. Plaice and prawn dishes were great too, we always love seafood where you can see the sea while you eat.

Stunning location overlooking the beach. Really friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Food was amazing in the restaurant Ald also loved the more informal breakfast option. Started each day with a walk along Barleycove beach and lots of day driving options including Mizen Head, Crookhaven and Schull. But really enjoyed just relaxing and destressing.

Our annual trip to west cork has us at Barleycove for a week again. The first night we all ate at the hotel, 9 children and 8 adults. As always Mark and his team do an amazing job. This Saturday evening there was also a live band, two local young lads with a huge repertoire of music played for a bout 3 hours non stop, it was excellent. Out of 7 days in Barleycove we ate at the hotel 4 times because everywhere else we tried did not compare with the food standard. Well done as always and thanks again Mark. See you next year.

Just back from a fantastic dinner at Barleycove. The service was friendly, professional but also relaxed. Exactly what you want at a beach location.I had the steak which was cooked perfectly, my son had “the best burger he ever had!”

Stayed in Barleycove Hotel for four nights. Found it very relaxing. Myself and my wife enjoy walking so after the first night we walked out to Mizen Head, second day we walked to Three Castles well worth a visit and on the third day walked to Crookhaven. The Staff and Manager were very helpful. Freshly cooked breakfast each morning and one of the best parts was the view from the bedroom window each Morning.

Had a meal here with my daughters. We had seafood and it was the best sea food we had over all of West Cork. Mussels, Calamari, Prawns were ordered for starters and fish and chips mains. Every dish was excellent and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Didn't stay in hotel, but if food standards are anything to go by, I'm hoping they succeed. Views over beach are amazing too

At short notice we needed to change our plans and Mark could not have been more accommodating and customer focused. It is rare in this industry to have such top notch customer service. Every time we visit Barleycove Beach Hotel we are blown away by the experience and this time was no different. Thank you to Mark and Team and looking forward to a return visit soon.

Great food and great service however the toilets and terrace area could do with a major overhaul. With such a gorgeous view it's a pity not more done with the terrace area. It could be so much nicer/cleaner. We also walked down to the beach and lot of rubbish at the bottom of the steps within the complex.

Could non recommend this bar and restaurant highly enough. The manager looked after me and my family from the moment we walked in.

The waitress' and waiters were so attentive, friendly and professional.

Had the mussels...huge portion and very tasty.
